I tried the pistachio brioche croissant this morning, it was not bad! I thought it was nicer than the chocolate one. However I was starving and had exactly 37 seconds to eat it before I had to leave to go out so I’m unsure if I even tasted it tbh 😂

Aldi are doing a Monster-like energy drink that’s less than half the price of Monster. I have an absolutely useless palate so I don’t at all mind that it doesn’t taste like the original.

My late husband used to like baking and bought a Kenwood with all the bells and whistles and used it for a few years until our son "borrowed" it to do a couple of weddings for friends. It never came back so hubby bought the £40 Aldi one and said although it didn't do all the tricks the Kenwood one did it was a brilliant machine and good value.
After he died last year I gave it to a single mum neighbour who loves baking and said this Aldi one is still going great.

Yes I have two kenwood ran a baking business and I paid more for stainless steel bowls for the machines than the price of these machines, yes they are workhorses, and heard good things about the Aldi machine, One of my kenwood has gone off for repair and hopefully be as good as new when it gets back..

There's a Mini Eggs one as well.

The Easter roast range in my Aldi today was a bit naff. I did pick up some stuffing balls and pigs in blankets to go with my roast chicken on Sunday though, just to save time.

My friend brought the machine today only opened it haven’t use it it’s plastic no weight can imagine it walking across the worktop mixing, not sure it will cope with bread dough lol will use it for sponge cakes and keep the kenwood for the fruit and bread, the tater bowl a nice size but a different pink to the mixing bowl and that’s not big but for £8.99 they are ok disappointed the bowl and jugs are different pink and the size of bowl but the batter jug is a good size and nice colour lol
the cast iron dutch oven are lovely. Oh well a hopefully good back up.

Had the Aldi lamb Wellington for tea. Think it said serves three but did two of us okay. The ends are about an inch of pastry before you get to meat but it was more meat than I thought for the price.

I had a look today, all I thought was the egg shaped pancetta as i know my daughter will love how they look. I thought the pistaccio tiramisu was a lamb rump with a herb crust at first glance 🤣🤣

Quoting myself to edit, as best part of a bottle of wine was consumed before this post! Egg shaped panacotta, and not pancetta!!!

The Aldi Four Loko rip-off tastes better than the original, in my opinion. I also got the individual portions of the pistachio tiramisu, some Provence Rosé and bits for the dog.

Their Easter specials were few and far between and they've whacked the prices of the Specially Selected ready meals up. There was a meatball and pasta one that I picked up and then put down. Sorry but when you're doing that, I might as well shop in Waitrose and get their 3 for £10 pasta deal.

Possibly late to the party having seen rave reviews on google about it the but the marine overnight mask is amazing! Only used it twice and I can feel a difference (more so than the £40 eye cream I bought in boots 🙄)

Sadly, my most accessible Aldi doesn't do most of the special buys but will keep an eye out for any offers for the original Elemis product.

For the first time this year, I went to Aldi to get a specific special buy and they actually had them in stock!

It was the baskets with the bamboo lids, and the employee manning the self checkout accused me of trying to steal the lids 🤣 Both the baskets and the lids have stickers on them saying "don't forget the lid" and the lid doesn't even have a barcode on it to scan, but he insisted on calling a manager over, who confirmed that the lids and the baskets were one item and then apologised profusely 😅

If anyone's a fan of the protein mousse by muller & myprotein, don't get the Aldi version - they're barely edible & have a weird texture

I wanted them, was disappointed they were so small.

On a plus point my aldi was selling Easter stuff off for 9p today

They are a good size for the space on top of our kitchen cupboards. Our kitchen probably hasn't been updated since the 70's and I need more storage, but we're not going to get around to getting it done until next year (the bathrooms were in more dire need ), so these baskets will do for now 😅
