If anyone's a fan of the protein mousse by muller & myprotein, don't get the Aldi version - they're barely edible & have a weird texture
I'm the opposite, I LOVE the Aldi chocolate protein mousse. It's really rich. I find the myprotein ones leave a weird aftertaste.
I'm not keen on the caramel or white chocolate Aldi ones, though, they're flavourless.

How funny! I love the myprotein salted caramel one, I usually buy multiple pots a week, but thought I'd give the Aldi ones a go - I find the texture is the most offensive thing about them 😅 I had to mix it all up into a smooth texture to finish the one I had yesterday 🤣

I saw the air purifier yesterday on Aldi. You don’t wash the filter. I’m sure the box said you buy replacements. But where from?! 🤣🤷‍♀️
On ebay from someone who's stockpiled them? Or maybe there are generic ones available, like the heads for my Lidl battery powered toothbrush?

Samesies. The Aldi mousse is really decadent and rich. Doesn’t taste like a lo-cal protein dessert at all. Also enjoy the puddings and sundaes. All 20g protein for less than 200cals

I think it’s just preference - Mr Owl loves the Aldi mousses and I think they’re grim!

Oh of course! To each their own. The ALDI protein bars can get in the bin. I’ll eat them if I don’t have anything better but they’re pretty poor.

I tell you what I’m well into though - the Rye crackers they’ve had in our middle aisle. I’m going to stock up if they have them later as they’ll probably never be in again.

Has anyone tried Aldi limoncello or the liqueur? They have a rasperry limoncello too that sounds interesting

I have just been to Aldi and honestly, once again, looks like it has been burgled especially the fruit and veg. Not usually a problem on Monday so think I will have a bus ride to Lidl tomorrow and see if their stock is any better.

Yes I had the limoncello last time I saw it in there but not able to drink at the moment so left it where it was today. 😭

Our Lidl is closed for 10 months! They’re knocking it down and building a new, bigger shop. 10 months feels like forever!

I ventured to Lidl instead of Aldi today for the first time (it’s quite new to be fair!). Is there always so much delicious looking Greek stuff?!

It’s Greek week in the specials but it will come round again fairly quickly.

Is there any way of checking online if an Aldi has an item in stock? Can you phone? I don’t have a branch close by so will have to travel

I’ve been ill recently and it’s affected my appetite, a friend came round with some of the picky bits from Lidl’s Greek week and it was so nice to get some tasty bits without being overwhelmed by a whole meal

Ooh what did you have? I've been ill too but hoping to pop in while there are still some bits left. They seem to have their theme weeks for 2 weeks now rather than one which is better I think.
