I know this probably sounds so daft but those of you in a small household, do you still buy the cheap veg? There’s only two of us and I would find it difficult to use 2kg of potatoes before they’re no longer fit to eat, I find Aldi pots start sprouting after a few days even with decent storage. Brussels usually I would get a 200g bag which is 95p! I feel conflicted over buying the 5p stuff just to waste half of it for the saving.
You can do extra roast potatoes and freeze them and blanch the Brussels and freeze them .

No, I won't be. Delighted for those who will but I've neither the freezer space nor the wherewithal to cook it all up in the first place. I'm just getting what I need rather than an excess.

I usually shop at tesco or Sainsbury's and find it lasts well. Just me and 2 children

I'm planning to do my food shop on Monday, but I am super sad (or organised, not sure which 🤣) and put a note in my calendar when the Aldi tiramisu trifle is coming out... it's tomorrow. Part of me wants to just wait until Monday, but then the other half of me is wondering if this is going to be one of those elusive items Aldi likes to do, where they give each store 3 and never get them back in stock, so I should 100% go tomorrow at opening time ready to fight for a trifle (that, knowing my luck with Aldi recently, they won't even stock it 😅)

If it gives you any confidence I had to go for Aldi opening last year to get the gold coin dessert and they didn’t have many whereas they had boxes and boxes of them yesterday (dated to the 27th) so hopefully they’ll do the same with the trifle

I’ve been back and bought a second bottle of the Dubai Chocolate Liqueur after trying the first one and ending up drinking half the bottle .

We had to brave Aldi this morning, I was thinking it’ll be nice and quiet as lots of people had their last day at work yesterday probably nursing hangovers. Nope, absolutely manic. It was horrendous 😆 still forgot bits so will have to go one last time before Christmas.

I had to pop to Aldi this morning and it was quiet! I had intended to drive round the roundabout leading to it and park in the nearby housing estate and walk in if it looked awful - loads of parking and no queues at all, same with Lidl that I went to after.

I am away at the moment and have to do normal shopping just for me like fruit and veg and wondering whether to buy here tomorrow or risk Aldi on Monday early but reading this I will leave it. I was in a big M & S today and got my bits and joined the self serve queue and was out in less than 5 mins. Was amazed how quiet it was, was expecting a mad house.
Does anyone know if Aldi have a small Turkey crown on sale - not the ones in the boxes in the top freezer, not impressed with those as had a trial run, but fresh or in the bottom freezer. Marks have a fresh 2 portion one for £12. My friend wants a turkey sandwich on Boxing Day and as I am not doing Christmas Dinner I just want to buy a small one.

You have to know exactly what you're going in for. I did mine yesterday and was in and out in 20 minutes,........only I forgot the thing I went in for the most, as they had no trolleys left.
So I had to get the pull along basket, and nearly ruptured myself carrying the bags to the car.
Unfortunately there were no knights in shining armour around. 😥

I nearly got banned from Aldi when I tried to take one of those out of the door. Security guy said they lost 47 the first week they had them without security things on them. They are used as garden barrows he said, no good to me then and laughed.

I braved it in Aldi and was impressed by their sides more than anything. Still annoyed by the short dated items, especially the potatoes, but got a three cheese broccoli bake which looked much nicer than the cauliflower cheese. Also got a bottle of Champagne for less than a tenner. Given the prosecco was still quite expensive for what it is, I'm happy.

The Aldi champagne is nice, we’ve had it before. I popped in today for non-Christmas bits like bread and milk and it was ok, threw my 5p carrots in while I was there 😃

Which priced one was it - we have 10 or 15 £ one.
