Where I am you can recycle the trays (just not the film) but the new type you can't.Even cooking from scratch, most things come in plastic packaging, can't think of many things you could get without packaging so its going to markets or expensive shops.
I don't see an issue with the vacuum packed. I think all mince needs to be broken up before cooking

Exactly. A plastic tray I would rinse out for the kerbside recycling. I save all my soft plastics (biscuit wrappers, bread bags etc) and take them to Sainsbury's every so often to recycle (my M&S used to do this too but I haven't seen the box in store for a while), but I absolutely would not go to the effort to clean a vacuum pack that had raw meat in it, so it would be straight to landfill.
I noticed Aldi have these bins but the receptacle opening is so small you'd be there forever posting the recycling through it.
I've noticed customers are just dumping carrier bags full around it, so the entrance to Aldi is now getting blocked.
My local Sainsbury's have got rid of their bin as it filled up too quickly, and it's now a big wire cage you dump your bags in.
Why oh why did Aldi delete the Lemon and Herb frozen King Kebab chicken joint? It was stunning. Now i love spice as much as the next person but i wish id got more when they had them....
Mind you i remember the Lidl bubble bath from 15 yrs ago. Clear bottle half with cream top half and you had to shake it. Stunning - sorted my back out in an instant.

Does anyone know if either Aldi or lidl sell an instant coffee which is a very, very fine powder rather than granulated?
Aldi do an Azera dupe. We've always rated it.

If you have access to an Asda, they have Nescafe gold blend powder on offer right now at really good value per gram - even compared to Aldi alcafe
Lidl barista (in a tin rather than jar) is powdered
I bought a pack of the mini heart shaped garlic and coriander nan breads today and opened them whilst I was on the bus. They are really nice and had to put them back in my bag or they would all have been gone before I got home, would rather eat them than a bag of crisps. 
I think the Lidl one is a better dupe of Azera than the Aldi one, I much prefer Lidls version. However other people say they can't find difference between the two so it may just be me!
Is there a shortage of Guatemalan ground coffee elsewhere? First world problem i know, but it's my favourite!

Well I never found any frickles but glad to see bottles of the Paula’s choice toner dupe in Aldi today. Even though it’s only a small bottle it lasts for ages and I was just coming to the end of my last one so grabbed a couple.

I have just been in Aldi and they have loads of these in the fridge. The date on them is 19 so there are a few more days left to sell them. Also lots of the meals that could be on red tickets on Saturday.
