I’m getting cross at Aldi. The protein mousses with the creamy topping have been oos for ages. The normal mousses are horrid (the chocolate is doable but the white chocolate is foul). We have 2 either side of our city. One is like the Wild West. Basically out of date rit. The other is fab but I feel that we are at least a month behind the rest of the country.

Having said that, I’m keeping them afloat via purchases of lentil crisps.

Not going to look at mince pies yet. If I have a mince pie now, there is a serious chance I won’t eat any other food other than mince pies until Christmas (at which point I change allegiance to hot cross buns).

I tried the knock off merry munch last night and was so disappointed. Even the price difference didn’t help make it better.
I liked the Sainsburys one last year. Very rarely go there though as I have to go past pretty much every other supermarket to get to one

Tried the Lidl Truffle Mayo deluxe , following on from the roasted garlic mayo one, equally as tasty. £1.69. YUM.

I dont think Aldi do the creamy topped ones anymore. At least I've not seen them anywhere in ages. Lidl do small cream topped puddings.

Also you could get light squirty cream to use with the chocolate ones. That's pretty much what it is anyway.

That makes me sad. But good call with the squirty cream. Tbh I haven’t seen the tags on the shelves so I think they have stopped them.

I both both too, initially hated the garlic one, thought it was really sweet. I tried it again and saw the error or my ways, both are delicious and the jars have been scraped clean 😂 going to get more today.

I looked at it today, looks like it's 90% popcorn, which is the worst bit for me. Glad I didn't get any now!

I don't think it's nice chocolate either as I've tried the Dairyfine bars and they felt a bit lardy.

Anyway, I came on about the Stollen again as I noticed another big hole in the Christmas stuff which again turned out to be Stollen. I tried to grab the last one but someone got their first 🙄. It said hazelnut and...
I think it was this one:

These are the ones I bought the other day that had also nearly all gone. Haven't tried them though as they're for a raffle prize:

So some of the Stollen seems to be going really quickly.
Be interesting to know if anyone's tried these and what they were like.
I also picked up a port, fig and apple chutney which I'd like to know if anyone's tried and liked. Then I might buy myself one as it sounds nice. 😋

I prefer the protein puddings over the mousse but they're often not in stock. I've fallen out of love with Aldi for this reason, that and my store has moved to using self service when I'm going to do a big shop so have to take forever trying to get everything bagged up..

My Lidl reductions % has dropped to 20% rather than the 30% I was used to. Is this a new thing as I've not gotten any reductions for a while?

Mine are 15% off so "good" to know it's not just me with the discount reductions. Who do they think they are? Marks and Spencers?? 😒

I've recently changed my local branch. Wonder whether that's part of it?

Yes, I find pictures easier than a description. I've picked up some Tattler recommendations for a hamper. Might find time tomorrow to photo them.
As promised here's a couple of things I bought on Tattle recommendation. Think I should go back and buy myself some as these are for part of a raffle prize, but I keep getting distracted by other recommended things. 😁

Got this from Aldi yesterday thinking that it would be nice but it was so spicy that resulted in me not being able to finish it. I mean it says in a lightly spiced sauce yet one things for sure that sauce was not lightly spiced as it made my nose run and made my mouth feel like it was on fire.

I had one the other day and ended up throwing it, not because is was too spicy but the chicken was awful. It was plumped up and tasted of absolutely nothing with an awful "mouth feel". God it was dreadful and I don't very often say that about Aldi food.

I'm glad it isn't just me who didn't like it. I'm the same I usually love Aldi food yet that is the worst thing I have ever had from them and I certainly won't be buying it again.
