I was in Lidl today and noticed The Stollen Bites £3.99 were nearly cleaned out, so I got one for insurance purposes. Might put it in the hamper I'm doing.
It has rum in it.
Stollen seems popular but panettone less so.
I've never had panettone. Not sure if it's worth trying one. 🤔
God I love stollen bites. So much better than a big stollen. Aldi looked like it had been ransacked when I was in there last night too, so many empty shelves. Loads of the wine was gone too. Maybe it's because it was new special buy day, I dunno.

I got the ultra hydrating shampoo and conditioner from Aldi, in the orange and white bottle. I don't know what it's meant to be a knock off of, Kerastase or something maybe? It was down from a fiver to £3 each.

It smells bleeping awful. The shampoo smells like cheap pine toilet cleaner and the conditioner smells really odd, like when you found your nan's 20 year old Oil of Ulay in the back of a drawer in 1987. I did only need a tiny bit of the shampoo and I've got really long hair, but I really hated the smell.

I googled it and it is a Kerastase dupe:

I can’t let the panettone slander go by 🥲🥲If you toast it and spread with Nutella or biscoff, its an elite December breakfast!

Seems Lidl have stopped their frozen spag Bol, don’t judge lol. They were tasty and so handy to have in the freezer.

I bought a packet of the florentines from each store. Both are devine. Lidls are smaller, singles, pop in your mouth size whereas Aldis are biscuit size, 3 bite max (or I'm just greedy 🙈)
I've found a recipe to try & replicate them as they're so moreish.

Best chocolate marzipan thing in Lidl is the log. The plain one IMO is the best, avoid the pineapple, rum and raisin and any othe weird flavours. Just plain marzipan, 1.99
I love the rum and raisin one. I bought the packet of individual rum marzipan too … lovely

I tried the merry munch knock off today (reindeer one) and thought it was really nice. It would have been even better with a bit of extra chocolate but for the price it’s decent.

I feel pictures of these delights would be helpful in making a bee line for the exact product 🙈

Yes, I find pictures easier than a description. I've picked up some Tattler recommendations for a hamper. Might find time tomorrow to photo them.

Panettone is beyond disappointing. Just like eating expensive Christmas flavoured cardboard. My Italian friends disagree but god it’s boring. I suppose it’s like beans on toast, or bread sauce - one of those things you live if you’re brought up by British parents but other nationalities are just like wtf, you like this WHY?
The morrisons chocolate chip panettone is lovely. Especially if you warm it up slightly so the chocolate melts a bit 😋

I tried the knock off merry munch last night and was so disappointed. Even the price difference didn’t help make it better.
