I think these might only be in Scottish stores but found the lemon and raspberry empire biscuits this morning. Cannot wait to have one later with a coffee 😋

Has anyone tried they're cookware ! I seen a turquoise frying pan and casserole dish . Would anyone recommend them?
I’ve got a Lidl cast iron casserole dish. Bloody brilliant. It’s like a poor man’s Le Creuset! Have had it five years now and still going strong.

We have the Aldi versions of the deep casserole dish and the flat, round one and they have also both been brilliant. Still going strong, wash very well and continue to look good in the stove top! Would recommend.

My Aldi finally had the cashmere glow foundation that was previously delayed and a few other beauty bits

I need a beer for cooking short ribs.... any suggestions, Lidl is more convenient.

Who on earth wants to slaver this stuff on their food. Not me thanks but I suppose Aldi wants to go to the Instas to get them noticed. I just want some nice food at decent prices not this crap.
Me, I do. They're all now reduced to 49p in my local Aldi, so maybe I am the only one (and I stocked up!) but they're all great.

I usually got to Lidl as it’s closer but went to Aldi the other day there and picked up the Weleda skin food dupe and it’s very good, even smells the same.

Mr Doris obviously wanted to butter me up so he could watch the Boxing, he nipped to Aldi to get the kids a pizza & came back with a bottle of Red & Sea Salt Dark Chocolate. Happy as a pig in the proverbial !!

Popped into Lidl for some stuff today, especially as I needed guidance on the battered haddock I nicked off a relative who was storing 2 packs in my freezer. Oops one pack slipped down my gob 🤭😋
We were met by a scene of carnage.😲🤨 The place looked cleaned out including the bakery with items thrown all over the place.
I usually go in during the week when it is an oasis of calm and orderliness.
I was devastated to discover the rampaging mob had taken all the battered haddock and Birds Eye fish fingers 😭😭😭😭
Only thing I could find were the extra large battered haddock. I will report back on if these are nice.

Reporting back on the fish. It wasn't bad but there was a lot of fish for me. Batter wasn't crisp enough for me and had that uncooked lining you get from the fish and chip shop, but maybe that was my fault for taking it out of the air fryer 5 minutes early. 😏
I'll go back to the cheaper version which was epic, which probably explains the cleaned out freezer cabinet at the supermarket 😥 and why they'd left all the more expensive bigger fish.
I just hope the person whose fish I "borrowed" isn't winding me up and it's really Aldis battered fish I liked. I'll have to have a snoop in their freezer when their back is turned. If true this means war! 😉😆🤫

I love the 2 pack of breaded haddock (or cod) you can get in the fresh fish section. Different to battered I know, but might be suitable when there’s bare shelves elsewhere?

Talking Tesco - I don't know about like for like but I never shop in Tesco as it is not local but needs must and yesterday when I wanted some Soya Milk I had to go to one which was on my bus route back from the hospital.
Tesco own brand soya milk £1.25 - Aldi 85p. Looked at other products I use and couldn't believe the prices and they were not on the Tesco card. I shop in Aldi and M & S and this is the last time for a Tesco visit.

Aldi is the place I shop most with a bit of Lidl and M&S. Last time I popped into a Tesco for a few things I audibly gasped at some of the prices. It was around £4 for a box of rainbow salad that at the time was £1.39 in Aldi. There were other things that were hugely overpriced but that was the one that made me decide not to go back into a Tesco.

It’s Spanish week! Who mentioned the jamon crisps cos OMG delicious!!

I also got a 4l cast iron casserole dish for £20 which feels like a bargain, I was looking at getting one anyway too. Hope it’s decent!
