So glad I found this thread. I started following Aja 2 years ago and she made good points around fast fashion, labour but there was a drama every other week, usually just someone making a comment on her erm public Instagram? Usually this comment would be polite making a valid counter point and she would snapshot it and get her followers to hound them for politely disagreeing.
The tantrum which made see her plainly was about this dungaree company- was sustainable clothing, paid workers living wage etc sorry I can’t remember the exact name!
This company I think had a guest on their podcast about plus sized clothing- it was a bit premature as they hadn’t expanded their own range but were in the process of doing so.
Aja completely lost it- hounded this company on her stories and with live videos for days. I think someone put it well here, she doesn’t want accountability, she seems to want to drag these companies down to the point where they are ruined.
She then said that years ago she had spoken to the CEO voluntarily and suggested they do gender neutral range then was fuming years later she had done unpaid “emotional labour”.
The CEO very reasonably responded he thought he was kindly getting on a call at her request for customer feedback. She fumes even more saying it was expert consultancy he was getting.
I mean 6 years ago she was just an Insta page with not even many followers- it’s not like she has any qualifications or fashion experience especially back then or even advertised herself as a consultant.
I can only guess she was angry she hadn’t been asked to be the guest plus sized fashion advocate for this company but hid it under the guise of being angry their plus size range wasn’t completed yet. A fair point but the rage at a small sustainable company seemed way off.

Totally agree. You’re spot on. It’s madness. Glad some other people agree. She seemed untouchable. There’s an influencer called Sarah Albertine who she piled in on and blocked. Strange when she’s all ‘cancel, cancel culture’

Aja and Demi Colleen have both posted oddly similar and cryptic tweets today. Judging by what Demi has said, I think her tweet is aimed at Mikaela Loach. Mikaela seems lovely though, so I’m not sure. Anyone have any ideas?

I know. Like ok maybe she could have done some kind of post election breakdown with areas that were Republican strongholds with ‘there’s work to be done’ vibes. But it wasn’t. It was all pics of her family and how they’d ‘done the right thing’ and how everyone else was a huge issue. It’s mad to be honest.
Don’t even get me started on how problematic Biden is!!!! This stuff doesn’t even get a mention it’s like she loves to just rant and moan and do nothing but claims to ‘do the work’.

Having read through this thread, I'm genuinely interested to know more about Aja's background. Sounds like a nepo baby who lived off her parents before she got on Patreon to make her fortune by duping people. There's a Reddit thread saying she has amassed followers by inserting herself into Twitter threads where she can collect followers. I'm curious as to how she managed to make her way to the UK. Another day, another online fraudulent 'activist'.
me neither!! but people seem to love her for it. there's no way Aja's public meltdowns and pile ons help persuade people to give up fast fashion. like you said, it's just bullying. she gets a kick out of being nasty to people. unfortunately she has a lot of people following her who also think it's ok to incite pile ons and to have public meltdowns.

Do you think she is aware that every single time she posts on social media she starts an argument with at least one person in the replies? If she's not rowing with individuals she then posts a follow up complaining about her followers, informing them which replies are and are not allowed.
Often, people are trying to be helpful or are just having a conversation about creating less waste, in "HER COMMUNITY" (that she loves to bang on about) but in reality, she doesn't want that. She just wants to dictate and have everybody listen, applaud, and pay.
She genuinely cannot help herself when it comes to starting arguments. She is hands down THE most argumentative person I have ever known of. I bet the veins at her temple are permanently visible. She needs to relax.

Obviously there is no logic to her rants, but this seems to be the main point she is missing. There will always be churn with subscriptions. So even if she had all the paid subscribers she thinks she ‘deserves’, some will always drop off and she will never get new subscribers without free followers. That’s just how subscription models work. It’s not complicated. She is a delusional

Also, her issue with voting on Boris Johnson was based on comments he made that were racist. So why would she expect Jewish people to vote for corbyn with a clear anti semitism issue in the party? You can’t have the monopoly on trauma.

Very strangely I stumbled upon her about three years ago when she only had about 12k followers. I followed her a bit but stopped when I realised how frequent this baiting was. I have no idea how she gets away with this as it is nothing other than bullying and deliberately intimidating people. I check in on her every now and again (mainly through this thread!) and it’s sad to see she’s not moved away from this form of ‘activism’.
Why the fuck would I PayPal someone my hard earned money just so they can spend their days trying to drag people down and get their followers to harass people. I swear she makes white people give up trying to be anti racist.
