Personally I thik only women, children, the elderly and the disabled should be allowed out, the fit young men can stay there. It's always the men that cause the problems. I'd also like to see any woman in the west that chooses to wear the hijab currently to stop wearing it in solidarity to women that don't have that choice.

Do you think the women are so different that they don’t adore their husbands / fathers / brothers / sons .

The German empty plane I believe is because so many countries are trying to get so many planes in and out making it a logistical nightmare. So they have a limited time to land and pick up people ready and it's not feasible to wait for every single seat to be filled and hold up other planes circling above. But yeah especially for a country like Germany you'd think there would be more cooperation with nearby countries.

Or was it a German plane for Norwegian citizens?

I can’t believe there’s not more of an uproar about the drone strike. They tried to say they killed one of the suicide bombers but it was in fact an aid worker and seven children.

I think it’s partly because the news of that came out very soon after the drone strike (or on the same day even) as some journalists talked to the family affected. People were angry, then the NA times investigation came out (which simply confirmed what people had already been angry about) and it took the US officials a while to admit that it was true and a mistake, but by then everyone had been angry about the whole thing already and moved on from Afghanistan

Yeah I saw his interview on BBC I just meant that he is unlikely to make it back to the airport now with all the unrest. His staff are telling him to go but we will see what he decides.

Pen needs to answer about who will pay for this and where these animals will go after christmas. it’s sickening if they have come through all this to be just locked up again and it isn’t animal friendly at all. Or is it going to be a donation thing again at a time when uk charities are already struggling

I definitely agree on the animals well being around this. I can’t imagine that several rides around Kabul and waiting in the heat, especially in crates, has been pleasant. I also can’t imagine that some 9 hour (probably more with refuelling) journey is stress free

I read earlier that the charity is going to continue at some capacity. Apparently they left a donkey behind that the staff intend to care for and that will partly be managed with donations or left over money that Pen left. Not sure what the rest of the plan is

Honestly, if people want to give their money to specific charities it’s their choice. I imagine seeing how their money and attention possibly helped here is really beneficial too and most charities don’t provide that or provide very basic versions of it. There’s generally a lot of talk about how charities use their money in hidden ways and what not as it is

Charter flight for ex-Royal Marine and rescue animals arrives in Kabul

Pen Farthing has been trying to evacuate up to 200 dogs and cats from Afghanistan for days, dubbed Operation Ark.

It was reported earlier that a charter flight for Mr Farthing was delayed leaving Karachi in Pakistan.

However, Sky News understands the aircraft has now arrived in Kabul.

I’m not a Muslim or religious in anyway so I don’t understand the principle. But if any religious people are reading this can you answer a genuine question. Why can’t men a women even sit it the same lecture hall together? Is the theory that it will quickly descend into a charnel house or something? I’m genuinely perplexed.

I am not religious particualrly, but I teach international students so have seen this a lot, in lots of relgions they are not allowed to make any kind of physical contact with the opposite sex so I assume being in the same room might make this difficult?
I think back in the day christian churches had separate rooms too

I have stayed in this hotel before and my God let me say have these people not been through enough without being put in the worst hotel I have ever been in. It was only around £25 a night on a special deal when I went less than a decade ago but some of these spend hundred quid a night. The reviews on Trip Advisor mention how badly behaved the refugees are. Begging for a cig in the smoking area, kids pressing the lift buttons, kids running around shouting not under control etc. The goodwill to these people will soon disappear if they don't respect their surroundings when people spend a lot of money to go on holiday there and deserve peace and quiet.

I really wonder what is the governments long term plan here?
It made me laugh how that women keeps going back even though she knows it is crap
