Or toothbrush/toothpaste ads where we're treated to the sight of green 'debris' being brushed from teeth. And why tf do these adverts always appear when I'm eating???!

I heard someone say a while ago that ad breaks are so much louder and irritating because they know that people often get up and walk away from the TV during them, to make a cup of tea or whatever, so they want to make sure that they’re still heard from another room.

No idea how true that is, but it’s definitely feasible lol

Does anyone know who 'the grinch' is in the asda ad? He comes out as himself - singing at the end - as though we should know him. I haven't a clue & googling hasn't helped.
