I remember at the height of her popularity, anyone who said they didn't like her swearing would be rounded on and branded a snob. There's a difference between swearing now and again and being unable to get through a sentence without doing it. Adele seems to fall into the latter. I find it grating. It's like a little kid desperate to shock.

Wonder if Adele was always like this deep down or if fame brought out the worst in her?

Personally, I think she was always like that. I remember when she first came out, she acted really snotty in some interviews and ended up having to defend herself over it saying she didn't think she was cocky. She really does seem to have gone up her own ass with some of the promo interviews I saw for the album. One had her claiming Ed Sheeran should be panicking as they were bringing the albums out at the same time which admittedly could be her having a laugh but with the way she is now, you never know. The best was when she claimed the album could change and save lives when talking to Zane Lowe.

I think that a lot of people loved ‘the old’ Adele. She’s definitely had a turning point when she wanted to leave that image behind. I don’t blame her for that especially given the industry she is in. The issue is people sort of related to her a bit more when she was a bit softer round the edges. She’s probably under more scrutiny now than she has ever been. I can’t help feeling that she liked herself better before this enormous amount of fame. It’s sad really.

The fact he was filming the whole thing with a 360 video makes me doubt any of his behaviour was authentic, she only noticed him because he stuck out like a sore thumb, it seemed everyone else there attended as instructed by a doctor to help with insomnia

He's already getting his fifteen minutes as TMZ has an interview with him where he says he isn't sorry and if those behind him had a problem, they could have stood up. The whole 'security guard being too rough' thing was contradicted as well because he said he was actually being nice to him and he got a selfie with the guy afterwards.

TBH I think the “ordinary London girl” thing is a bit of an act too, which she cynically pulls out of the bag every so often when she thinks it might be helpful. Let’s face it, she went to a highly competitive performing arts school and was launched when she was still a teenager, which likely means she was on a development contract years before that. She’s spent most of her life being coddled and fawned over by music industry suits. That is very far from an ordinary life. She’s spoilt.

People say her London accent is put on, but I don’t think it is. I would say her polished voice is not her true accent, because she has received previous criticism for her cockney accent, so I think when she went over to LA she probably felt she had to tone it all down. She even said her son corrects her for saying things like “free” instead of three.

I know she was probably nervous of appearing on GN, but every word is peppered with effing this and effing that. Who cares about someone’s accent and tone if they can articulate themselves well? In her case, she sounds like a common fishwife.

I bet she was a riot at Heaven though, stripping down to her bra and making a right tit of herself!

Adele has such a polished look now with her weight loss, new nose?, make-up and clothes, but her potty mouth certainly detracts big time from the image. The other guests looked uncomfortable with her swearing too.

A bunch of us got together for the premiere of Easy On Me and I thought it was just me who didn't like it but everyone agreed. I was hoping it was just a bad choice for the first single but the album wasn't much better. I wasn't expecting her to completely leave her comfort zone but it's more of the same and the songs were done better in previous albums as you said. While the album does have its fans, I've seen many say the same thing as me...it's just getting boring now and it seems to be at the bottom of the list of stuff she has released.

The worst for me is My Little Love. Talk about parentification! I suspect it was meant to be cute and show what a lovely little boy her son is but I was deeply uncomfortable listening to that.
