Yes absolutely! It’s all about the cheap as chips poor quality items. The few times she’s shown us something of better quality I think she’s looked so much classier. It’s a shame because she is a likeable lady but her feed has definitely changed a lot in the last year or so.
Completely agree, I really like her and I like her style but am so disappointed in the quality of what she promotes. I go into stores to look at the items she links to and am sad to see the acrylic, fake nasty fabrics she promotes.

I won’t buy anything on a swipe up because I’m confident it would be
poor quality. It’s a shame because she is one of the only ones who I would swipe up for, I like her but I know the quality will be poor.

A tip to find quality wool products rather than acrylic is to go to the mens, ive bought small sizes in men’s jumpers and cardigans because they are made of proper fabric And last rather than the race to the bottom of cheap crap. M and S I am looking at you!!!

.

There was another fashion account - thin blonde in Bath? Her account went that way too. Great styling with affordable items slowly shifted to streams of expensive free clothes and an unfollow.
That was MyFashionable40s, now CuratingMi. I actually still really like her. She did start going down the route of all the other accounts (accepting gifts etc.) but has really toned back. To me, she really comes across as more centred, and focussed on developing a sustainable wardrobe, which is my interest.

It’s just the same photos and videos of products we’ve seen upteen times. Peddling these products with swipe ups - making goodness knows how much easy/ fast money from her followers. Her followers need to understand that most of the stuff is either try ons (therefore returned back to store which is bad) or just in a changing room, paid partnerships so free clothes and paid, gifted, or just stuff that she thinks you’d like with that oh so handy swipe up! She doesnt buy much using her own money. If there wasn’t a swipe up feature I doubt this account would still exist.

She didn’t have to buy the same Matalan stuff though. Fran has the coat from there last year too.
No idea who bought got gifted what, when but as Cherrypie says above, I would doubt there is much 'decent' stuff to choose from. 😂

I don’t think she has any kind of style at all. Those white jeans she posted up yesterday don’t look good on her.

And the swipe ups are getting tedious, I don’t think she actually cares if the clothes suit her or not (because most of them don’t), or the skincare actually works or not, or she actually likes the Ryvita or not, it’s all about the paid ads, she has no integrity.

How do we get rid of the links...i dont want them making any money from anything i buy.
I think if you go in and delete your cookies it works.

I read somewhere else on tattle that it’s linked to cookies so keep periodically deleting them.

I actually googled how to do it last night, quite simple in settings.

I hate the faux concern... try ons 'for you guys', discount codes 'for you guys', found 'you guys' the perfect all saints biker.... Oh ffs please just fuck off.
So many grammers are using this sales technique and it’s very effective. It’s designed to make the people following feel special, it pulls them in, helps build trust. She uses very friendly and relatable language when talking to her audience, and this makes them believe and trust her. More importantly, if anyone dares criticise, comments are deleted and person blocked, so followers only ever see other followers saying positive things. Sheep follow sheep. She only ever shares positive messages on her stories. It’s an effective marketing technique. At the end of the day Helen does not have a personal friendship with the majority of her followers and never will, and they only get to see or hear what she wants them to. Pretty much everything she does is to help her make money. Gone are the days when grammers shared discount codes etc for FREE - no swipe ups, not making money out of people - just good old fashioned sharing.

I agree with all who say they think she's a big mess. She IS a big mess!! Her hair, her clothes, her chaotic life! She has always been a difficult watch but lockdown has not been kind to Helen and she's become ridiculous. That long pink skirt thing she wears alot needs a bloody good iron, alot of the clothes she puts on needs either a steam or an iron. I can't believe anyone would walk out their house looking like that let alone an influencer! I can't imagine brands looking at her can see how she would be an asset! Mostly Topshop at the moment, who tbf aren't particularly fussy who flog their wares!

For me it is all the long skirts and her going on about how cool they are..... ‘such a cool look’
Last year it was the constant mentioning of some kind of beaded bracelet-she hasn’t mentioned them since!

Grrrr I know she posts links day in day out, but this one has really made me angry! It’s not ‘a very good price’ for the PS5 console, it’s the standard price when you check around other shops, and I know cos I spent last Xmas searching for one! I’m sure Helen also knows too, but she’s taken the opportunity to line her pockets with a big fat #aff link for Amazon! 😡

It just really feels tired and pushed for content. I do like her I’m just  I guess she has got to keep pushing and flogging something given she does this full time now but eeesh.I find myself fast forwarding through the stories atm.

Blazers seem to be a bit of armour to some of them. Its always "as long as you wear a blazer people will magically think you've got your shit together ".

Which is possibly true? If I met a mum at the school gates in a blazer, I'd definitely think it, I admit that.

Still wouldn't make me buy one though. I'd rather be cosy, even if I look slovenly by comparison. Blazers always look a) freezing and b) uncomfortable around the shoulders.

Which reminds me - is it just me or does Helen simply not feel the cold??? Its camis and blazers 10 months out of the year. Or thin dresses and blazers. I always think she looks absolutely perished. Maybe she just always has the heating on???!!
Yes! I often think this about the cold! She’s sometimes walking the dog at 6am in just a denim jacket!

Has she really got over 83k followers? I find this hard to believe, last time I looked at her it was probably around 40k+ and I thought that was unreal. I’m sure they are all paying for followers.
