Honestly I don’t even think I could type some of the stuff I saw, but why were we looking at the most horrific crime scene photographs at 12? And why did they block neopets before that!

I remember someone watching p0rn in an IT lesson too? Like I’m not ancient this is the early 2000s surely the government should have had a better understanding the internet cos iirc they had some blocking technology schools used?

I remember having an induction in college and being warned not to look at porn in the library as one guy the year before had and they called in his parents to show what he had been looking at I think he was suspended

Yes! Also did anyone have an inflatable plastic backpack? I remember by grandad criticising it as it was transparent and he thought it was a theft risk as everyone could aeee what was inside (in the early 00s when I didn't even have a phone or bank card ) was probably just filled with ljpsmackers and chewing gum

typical Grandad comment I had an orange inflatable one. Funny you saying that though as I remember wearing the tammy girl one round the town with my friend and we bumped into her Nana and she told me to wear it on my front so people don't grab stuff out of it from behind , ermm no thanks

Oh yeah, and from a couple years earlier The Bucket was ubiquitous. To me it seems like every MTV show used to play that at least once per episode.

I loved habbo hotel! Does anyone remember Girland? I used it all the time but struggling to describe it, it had forums where you could ask for and give advice, and you used to be able to make these dolls on it - I loved making them and would spend ages designing them

So I've just found this thread and I was featured as a PenPal in Mizz! About 6 months after I'd sent off the application as a laugh (and by which time I'd stopped buying the mag, so I never saw the issue I was in) I got about 100 letters through, sent on from Mizz. My dad made me pick a few to be penpals with and write back to all the others saying thank you for their letters.

That purple chocolate bar that came out the time of the Willy Wonka remake in 2005. It was supposed to be "snozzberry" flavour I think ?

When Walkers released some limited edition flavours - Builder's Breakfast, Chilli and Chocolate, Fish and Chips, Cajun Squirrel, etc. and you had to vote for the one to stick around. There was also other new flavours for the World Cup in 2010.

Fashion way more fun in the 2000s in my opinion. Colourful clothes and handbags, chunky jewellery, cute hair accessories, graphic T shirts. I had a bright orange one from Primark which said "Handbags, Shoes and Boys".

Don't get me wrong, I love Clueless, but I do wonder how she ended up with that film...but then again, her sister loves Lana Del Rey to death, so they might end up okay and with a broader cultural education than I feared.
