Anyone remember these sherbert straws? Everyone was obsessed with them and they ended up being banned in my school because the playground was absolutely covered in empty ones Also fondly remember buying Fizzy Jerks and Toffos from the vending machine.

Yesss I loved these! Making sure the opening didn’t touch your mouth because the saliva would make the sherbet stick and not come out remember they were 1p each! Crazy how you could have went to the shop with £1 back in the day and the amount of stuff you’d get! I remember my mum sending me to the shop by our house to buy her cigarettes and id get to keep the change 30/40p and I’d have got loads! Imagine being able to send your kid to buy you smokes now! Even if I handed my daughter £1 to go to the shop with she would laugh at me

I was in next the other day and saw just pink which brought back 00s memories for me too

I had just pink but didn’t like it back then. But have tested it recently and i liked it!

Out of air and 02, 02 is definitely the better one.

I don't have tiktok but I get sucked into the reels on instagram which are basically all from tiktok anyway and oh my god its so addictive I've always been someone who scoffed at people being 'addicted' to their phones but its actually becoming a problem for me
It's truly quite disconcerting how many platforms are pushing this type of content because they know its so addictive but soon it will be unavoidable.
I don't want to totally avoid them either because some of them are genuinely interesting or comforting but mixed with a lot of other crap and the way you end up endlessly scrolling I swear it's rotting our brains. And then you open up the comments and that's a whole other can of worms!
Sorry for the ramble but I've been thinking a lot about this recently!

You should listen to the podcast by Holly and Bridget, very interesting in parts. I LOVED made, also was jt made or a different show where they re-enacted the music video of someone ? I remember one in which two sisters or twins re-enacted j lo's love don't cosy a thing. There was also a weightloss show before college

I downloaded tiktok. Slightly OT I know but this thread is millennials reminiscing and adapting to new technology

it’s not THAT addictive but I don’t think the algorithm has got me yet. It’s worked out I like cats and funny videos after an hour, but the videos are quite generic, like I don’t find people falling over funny etc think the recommendations get better the longer you spend on it
