I hate the picture. It’s weird as fuck. Why stand at a weird distance like you are surprising your partner with a baby bump when obvsssss it’s quite large and he’s seen it for months

. Might have worked better with a scan photo?
And re. previous posts about waiting to have children, etc. There’s nothing wrong with that at all, but you are doing that with potential fertility risk. I would assume that perhaps there’s been some difficulty and perhaps long pauses in trying between work commitments which has contributed to the large gap, given them both (naively!) talking about wanting loads of kids, Mark coming from misogynistic stock that expects heirs to be produced, stat.
Ultimately, until you do decide to try for a baby, you never know how quick or difficult that journey might be. And obviously deciding to wait until you are older comes with larger risks that it might not be so easy. It’s a complete lottery.
It took 6 years and 6 rounds of IVF for us to conceive our first (at 33) and then my second (35) was a perfectly timed accident as we were waiting for my period to go for an embryo transfer and my period never arrived and that “I can’t possibly be pregnant, I know my body!” is now 5 years old.
What I would say is NEVER EVER ask anyone about plans for children. If they want them, or want to talk about plans; they’ll tell you. I had years of having to downplay plans for children, brushing it off pretending I loved wine too much, loved my sleep ins, being light hearted and making a joke and then coming home absolutely distraught that I’d been questioned again. Obviously I could have been more open but I felt super uncomfortable discussing what I felt was me being a failure at something everyone else seemed to be easily achieving.
Anyway, sorry for the diversion but it’s such a sensitive subject and a very lonely situation sometimes.
