Like I said there is a nasty undercurrent around Essex culture.

I can confirm that Essex really is like the twilight zone. I moved there from London for love but he turned out to be a mummies boy.. She'd even come on dates with us. That didn't last but I stayed in Essex as I loved all the green areas and space unlike built up London.. Then met a second guy and his family was even worse his mother and sister were very manipulative and vindictive, jealous and nasty. They seem to be very close nit in Essex and don't let many people in. They are very passive aggressive. They expect you to show up to all family. Occasions but never visit or call you. Never thank you for gifts. Make arrangements through him not you.. You feel you're at an arms length but then invited to everything and if you don't go it's your fault, you're crazy, or being difficult.. Very strange people, very small worlds, all they do is gossip and compete which each other... Never pleased for you or your accomplishments because they want to be the best themselves. None of them seem to work or just have clothes shops or beauty salons or interior design/ sell crafts home stuff.. None are acedemic.. Some maybe but don't use it.. As there's no corporate jobs in Essex. It's all about getting a rich guy, having kids, a range rover, lunches, spa days, holidays and girls nights out. The other person has to join their family because they never leave. They won't budge, it's just the way it is our way or get out.. The smart women do get out. The guys are spoilt mummies boys expecting the women to cook and clean for them.. Complete narcs in skinny jeans.

The difference here is this.

Mark and Lauren the tone and undercurrent understanding of that relationship was :

Mark could do better than Lauren and leave her for somebody else she is lucky to have him and she will cling onto him. She is just a bad habit Mark picked up in his youth she is taken for granted. Mark should outgrown her eventually and get himself somebody better.

Mark and Michelle the tone and undercurrent understanding of this marriage is:

Mark done very well catching her as a Bride she is Famous and Beautiful and Desired and a Actress with a career in the TV she could of married a number of Potential Celebs. Mark needs to hold onto her as a treasured Trophy otherwise there be loads of guys either Higher Status than him like a Priemership Footballer or Richer Guy ready to sweep her off his feet he knows to treat her well or she be gone.

The Wright Family understand this and know the score .

You have to understand Lauren had been around that family since she first knrw Mark all the way back to when she was like 13 years old she was totally taken for granted as just Marks spare part he drags along to see the Family.

It’s the only trophy the Wright brothers will ever hold on a football pitch tbf.
