- Keeps complaining about her stitches opening. Keeps doing strenuous workouts while wearing compressive TALA clothing.
Ironic that she's only worried about stitches coming undone when its on her body, not when its the biggest complaint of her clothing brand x

"I have realized that rich people have a tough time conceptualizing just how wealthy they are and how materially different this makes their lives from other people. The image forwarded by girlboss culture is that of a battle-worn woman who had to scrape and claw her way up the corporate ladder while dodging a host of obstacles set up by “the man.” This image is a fallacy for most of the women who cling to the title of girlboss. The Kylie Jenners, the Grace Beverleys and the Rachel Hollises of the world started the game on third base and now deign to dish out advice to consumers who don’t even have a spot on the pitch. It is disingenuous and intellectually dishonest."

If she wants to collect baubles over a period of time then that's fine, but if she brought some and reuses them year after year surely they aren't that bad?!
Honestly! I can't get my head around her logic that buying a box of baubles is deemed too unsustainable but flying first class to Dubai for literally no purpose is justifiable ??

it’s obvious that her book is not just for “young people” - it’s for (leaning upper, certainly not lower) middle class young people. Talking as if people work 24/7 and take jobs as Deliveroo/Uber drivers because they want to hustle...it’s because lots of young people have to if they want to afford to live, let alone have a basically acceptable quality of life. It’s also because it’s getting increasingly hard for us to get good jobs.

I really need to read the page she didn’t post, but with the “influencing/instagramming is hyper-fulfilling” thing, it feels like she’s trying to present the issue as actually being about Gen Z being innovative and finding cool new Instagram jobs, rather than exploitation in the structure of “conventional” jobs

“Instagramming” isn’t a reliable route out of conventional work as there is a huge glass ceiling for a lot of people. You need to have free time and financial security to start in influencing, which Grace seems to forget that a lot of people don’t have, even though she says that everyone is working 24/7. You need to be picked up by a bigger organisation usually, like Gleam or Love Island or Gymshark. You also need to be conventionally attractive and young, especially as a woman. It’s not an accessible escape from exploitative work structures and shouldn’t be presented as a viable alternative to them

Skimmed the article and went straight to the comments - highlights include:

"So all you need to make it is hard graft, a nice bottom and a loaded family?"

"No mention of the massive trust fund"

"Looks more like soft porn"

"A real riches to riches story - it brought a tear to my eye to see how someone from a wealthy family with lots of inherited wealth made it against the odds" (my personal fave)

I went to my grandad’s funeral on Monday and wasn’t able to hug or get close to my grieving family. We couldn’t have a wake. He died from Covid, so my widowed Nan had to isolate for 14 days after his death - at a time she needed support the most. This is the same for every other family who has lost a loved one during the lockdowns, and there are a lot of them.
An “insensitive time” doesn’t even begin to cover it. Oh sorry, I forgot we’re supposed to praise women for their travel goals or whatever validation rubbish she was spouting.
She’s convinced herself she’s a good person, but she’s really really not.

I don’t know if someone’s already posted but I cannot believe I saw Tala in TK Maxx Sutton the other day 😭😭😭🤣
hey! thanks for bringing this up actually as I’ve been meaning to talk about it for a while. we’ve been trialling our tala/tkmaxx collaboration for a couple of weeks now - so exciting that so many of you have spotted it! I would like to point out that compared to Nike or Adidas we actually have a minimal amount of stock that gets sent to tkmaxx because so many of you are such loyal tala fans that you usually dont leave any for the rest of us 😂😂 I won’t go into the business details because it would bore you but please know that this collaboration has been hypercrafted for over an entire quarter - a LOT of effort has gone into this, even if it just appears that our overpriced, thread hanging leggings are just not selling as well as we’d hoped. Please remember that we produce under a SLOW FASHION concept which is why we chose tkmaxx as our newest collab partner as we’ve all visited an empty maxx one afternoon on the outskirts of an austerity ravaged ex industry town. Anyway, I’m off to celebrate my mum’s 60th. Such a shame that her Dad, close friend of Thatcher, couldn’t be here. Please don’t message me during this time as I am FINALLY having some well deserved time off!! I have begged my low income staff to scream at me if I make one more joke in our slack chat (they love it really 😂😂). Happy 2022 guys 🧡

Not Grace blaming her ‘battle scar’ on the NHS after care team. No hun, it was because you continued to work out in tight clothing and barely looked after it.
Also genuinely can’t believe she thinks TALA/Shreddy would be successful without her influencer status…

her sharing being anti private school and privilege when she comes from the top 1% and attended some of the best educational institutions arguably in the world, and we all know will send her kids to the same private schools really had me feeling like this

she is living in a fucking huge house, goes on multiple holidays a year and drives a tesla at the age of 24 because she attended private schools and because her family are so wealthy, but is so out of touch she doesn’t even recognise it. it’s like she thinks she’s slummed it with the rest of us and thinks 2 stories is solving wealth inequality

Productivity quweeen getting up at 7.30 to do weights before work....except the clock says it's 9.15 🙃
She’ll honestly say something like- people always try and catch me out but I actually set my clock to 1 hour 45 minutes fast to prepare my brain for the day and achieve more. You should all try it. I’m including it in my sequel book x
