I think perspective is needed here.

Yes, Jackie and Jack are more irritating than a dose of severe thrush but, they don’t own Elphie anything. It’s essentially Jackie’s second home that her son lives in with his friends who pay their share to live there - that’s not a crime or against any law. She doesn’t have to be a “landlord” to her own son or his pals.

Taking that into consideration, it’s about basic etiquette. Elphie is filthy and lives in pure squalor - we all saw the state that room was in and we know her personal hygiene is poor. I called it when she came home at Christmas, Elphie was on her final warning to either sort that room out and take some pride in herself - or go. She’s done very little to fix that and instead, expects Jack & Chelsea to put up with it and live in the same way.
The constant singing into all hours is no doubt becoming an annoyance to neighbours who’ve no doubt complained - our walls are so thin, I can hear my neighbours piss in the morning so if they were screeching that same song until all hours, I’d be fuming. It’s disrespectful tosay the least.
Elphie treats Jack like shit and always has. We all know that everything and everyone serves a purpose to her, Jack serves that person because he is the only person giving her a home, her Mum doesn’t want her there with her, she’s incapable of living alone and has no other real friends.
We’ve also all seen Elphie speak to Jackie like shit in her own home and yet in fairness to Jackie, she never reacted - everyone has their breaking point.
Jackie clearly isn’t comfortable with the begging and taking money from people under false pretence so she clearly isn’t happy with that being the way Elphie pays her rent hence her asking her to simply do lives and accept gifts only if they are given - not beg.
Yes, her original text came across like a bit of a dick but I suspect she’s the only person trying to give Elphie parental guidance so thinks she can make those demands. Elphie then chose to react by saying she was leaving in the home Jackie would tell her not to be silly - it back fired!
I don’t blame Jackie at all, before Jackie had even agreed to her to go, Elphie was on a live slagging her off, disrespecting her even further.
Why people are suddenly shocked and appalled she’s been kicked out is beyond me, would you tolerate that in your home? I know I wouldn’t put up with it for as long as Jackie has. Perhaps instead of burden a housing association for urgent housing, she should pack up and go back to her Mums or, learn to stand on her own two feet instead of behaving like the world owes her a favour.
They say you should never shit on your own doorstep - Elphie has done it on repeat. It’s called consequences.

Like I don’t agree with folks calling him a “she” because as a woman I find it really disrespectful but at the end of the day it’s hard to take anyone seriously on this site when we’re all anonymous and our Pfps are all just ridiculous screenshots of the dregs of tiktok (or Messi with a gun)

Working too much or not working enough if you have kids.

Feeling especially vulnerable around a breakup if your partner turns stalkerish.
Fighting for equality for many lifetimes and watching others take the mic and make it all about them/their struggles & their rights.
Getting paid less than the males in the workplace for the exact same work.
