OK lads to be fair a lot of the excellent counterpoints on this thread have actually made me confront my bias, and find it too narrow and lacking. Ye are right; Nikita’s actions that night are completely besides the point and morals don’t come into it, Thank you. ☺
I am a survivor of CSA (ages 4 to 11) and I have a voice similar to yours on repeat in my head constantly. What could I have done differently to keep myself safe, what did that man see in me that made it okay to abuse me, why was I so worthless that no adults stopped him even though they knew what he did to other kids before he got to me. Even now as an adult there is a wall of silence around what happened to me because if anyone in the family admits what happened was wrong they may have to acknowledge there own inaction and that's uncomfortable, so the family narrative is that I'm unstable, my PTSD is because I'm somehow inferior to them, I just need to pull my socks up and get on with things, to stop being depressed and fragile.

I know this poster is probably just stirring online and thinks their being funny but the reality is people like this make me think my internal voice is right, a part of me deserved it and there is something fundamentally corrupt in my core as a person. I am in my forties now and I still carry the shame and horror of what he did to me, I was never able to have children because of how he physically damaged me, relationships are tough, life is tough, being outside is just tough due to the amount of fear I still carry, nowhere is safe.

My stomach drops whenever I read comments questioning what Nikita should have done because I have never been brave enough to speak as loudly and as determined as Nikita, and I know those same questions would be asked of me, why I didn't speak out, shout or scream to stop him. He took my voice, I'm glad Nikita has hers.

Having all of this out in public, having him sitting in a public court having to admit to a lot of this seedy crap, driving around in a car filled with coke, picking up girls at 10 in the morning to party in a hotel while he has that same pregnant partner at home that he rolls out for his media circuses, his brand and image is tarnished forever it can't be undone. She might not win this case but she's won. She's really outted him for what he really is. She's done better than so many others that took his dirty money and went away. She's really impressive having the strength to do this knowing all her own dirty laundry has to come out in the wash too.

I kind of actually feel sorry for Conor 🙈
He is someone who came from nothing & made a lot of money, mind you I don’t understand or see how you could make that money.

He just can’t see it, that he paying for everything, drink, nightclubs, Coke, fancy holidays, private jets for so called friends who are only cling ons & leeches (the brother in law, Terry kavanagh)

They will be all gone, when the money dries up, he is basically spending his kids money for the future on his so called friends

He seems to have just gone to far now, he thinks he is “ untouchable”

God love him, when the money is gone or he gets banged up for something, he will come down with such a bang & the rest of his family will do.

They won’t know what hit them all. No one will touch any of them, as they have no class
Absolutely 100% NOT. Plenty of people came from humble beginnings and made money and did not behave like Scumbag Thug Rapists. I hope Karma is a real thing and he gets what he deserves. Him and his appalling "friends".

To be fair, its about the only nuanced take I’ve seen. That night sounded debauched in general, all a bunch of knackers out on the tear, and while McG is scum of earth for what he did to her, it surely is a bit extreme to be holding her up as some kind of saintly hero either, I dunno.
She’s the only woman that has successfully steeled herself and stood up against him in a court of law, despite the serious threats to her life, the behemoth that is his wealth and a legion of fanboys online only willing to tear her down for not being a “perfect” virginal victim. She’d have had so much less trouble to just have settled, taken the money and disappeared. But she wanted what he did and what he is to be brought out into the light of day.

I think she’s a fucking hero.

When it comes to women we can never be the perfect victim, we're held up to a standard men never are, shame on anyone especially any women questioning Nikitas behaviour while not holding McRapist to the same standard, everything she did, he did......and then he raped her.

We can never win, Nikita could have been a virgin nun kidnapped off the street and the argument would be, well she shouldn't have been out walking.

Over 50% of women have been sexually assaulted at some point in their lives, so either it's you or your mother going on probability, if you're questioning Nikitas behaviour, give your head a wobble, and imagine if your or your mothers every move was questioned in relation to a sexual assault, what underwear you wore, how much you drank, your sexually history, literally everything is thrown at women and men are given a good character reference.
Giving the 'Devils Advocate' incels an ounce of attention is a disservice to women.

I'm not saying this didn't happen so you can all not come for me but why did she think it was a good idea meeting him? What good was really going to come from that? She said she knew him from the area and to say hello to, surely she had heard the rumours of previous things he's done and she also had a boyfriend. Why was she messaging Mcgregor in the early hours off the morning.
She said herself for a party. Nobody goes out thinking they will get raped! She doesn’t deserve any blame here. It’s him, he is a vicious sick thug who gets his kicks from beating & raping women.

To be honest for a few minutes, there’s been a lot of vitriol these last few days (including myself 😳) about instahuns commenting/not commenting, supporting/staying silent etc.
however…..
We’ve all known who CMcG is & his reputation far precedes this incident 🚩
-How many of us have gone onto the BPerfect 50c sale over last few years ?
-How many of us bought MRS makeup, knowing her in-laws were convicted animal abusers?
-How many of us have bought Voduz, knowing it comes from China?
-How many of us have gone to the Olympia pantomime last few years?
-How many of us have gone to the ‘Forge’ as our ‘auntie/neighbour/granny’ said the food is good 😊
-I’m sure some of us have imperfect housecoats or sweatshirts?
When we’ve all looked inward, we need to stop taking our vitriol out on other women & turn this situation into positives -GoFundMe me if required for Nikita- remember who the perpetrator is !

just my 2 cents 🤷‍♀️
Can say with absolute certainty I’ve never done any of this 😂 and it wasn’t hard to avoid either

Any CCTV is irrelevant. The lead up to sexual activity is irrelevant. A person could be fully consenting, begin the act and then change their mind and remove consent. Continuing is rape. Teach all your children that, Dee 👋
