My dog is the light of my life and I still think she's a spoilt shite. Because she is. I made her that way after all the abuse and neglect she went through before me. No apologies either.

I think anyone who's had a pet knows that you can call them names but it's akin to a sibling. Anyone else does it and it's time to fight them. (Unless you're my brother. He can feck all the way off).

I was out tonight with a friend I've known for over 50 years....(That's right, I'm OLD), and we had lots of "remember when we..." type conversations

I do wonder if that's part of Jackie's problem... she's lied so much that long lasting friendships just can't exist, because the discrepancies are more evident than with fleeting superficial acquaintances.

"Oh dear what a shame never mind" or whatever it was she gloatingly said re the elections

The cushion Coops is snuggling by looks like this from The Futon Company, only with crap ball thingys round it (my friend has the same only in velvet and without the ball edging). Another item to add to the inventory of spenny goods - not hideously expensive but it all adds up.

On the Cooper issue, Pa Aeroplane has a proper bruiser of cat, an ex-stray/feral-ish brute, whose fighting instinct was so strong that even castration and a loving home barely tamed it. He actually IS a prick (bruiser, not Pa), so most of their neighbours’ cats stay well away, except for the one who can’t resist a scrap and comes around looking for old bruiser.

Anyway, bruiser has often got bites or scratches, and he’s only got about 5/8ths of a pair of ears these days, so I’m not particularly fazed by the injury aspect of that pic of Cooper - although I wouldn’t have put it online myself. The thing is, when you’ve got a cat like that, you’ve not only got to stay on top of flea and worm treatments (the proper vet-consult-and-prescription ones) but also the grooming. Decent grooming is super important for a fighty cat, because when the cat inevitably has a wound, it’s impossible to monitor its healing or clean it - or know when you’ve got to cart the little prick down to the vet to get antibiotics - if you can’t gently push aside the fur to check how any wound doing. So the lack of grooming means Jack is terrible as usual. And if Cooper is unneutered then in my opinion she’s even more terrible, there’s just no excuse for not getting him done. Especially as the vet nearest her is good and not extortionately priced.

Anyway I’m personally dying to hear her take on Southend Council yet again having a change of political leadership; if leadership is even an appropriate word to use in the context of Southend’s local democracy, which is endlessly a shitshow and really does the town no favours. She’s a political blogger after all, isn’t she? That’s what she said the other day.
Great to see you back, @Lucy Aeroplane
The “Cooper issue” would perhaps not be as much of the case if her son’s dad wasn’t a vile backyard cat breeder who as well as that has (seemingly) supplied her with multiple animals to neglect/abuse (and potentially worse).

And maybe if she gave a vaguely shiny tit about animals and stopped calling them pricks, dickheads and letting them harm and/or distress one another and get hurt because she finds it twee, amusing or good content for her socials.

Let’s not forget the vid she posted when she brought Content home of her cackling performatively and manaically at Cooper’s distress.

Her tit talking animals in the spoiler, no kitten (x2) pics.

Oh yeah let’s not forget the time she took a prey animal to the polling station (to elevenerife the dogs at polling stations) for attention, claps and cheers from the BBC and her now ex-besties at the Guardian

What a truly wonderful example of animal care they’re both setting for their child. The pair of them can duck right off. ESPECIALLY Jack. But yeah, the pair of them.

duck you, Jack. I lost my best friend Pooh Bear last month and I'm still crying over his loss. Even when he was a prick I'd never call him that.
Why do you still have Cooper that you don't give a duck about and my cat had to die? It's not bleeping fair.
You don't deserve even a pet ant, you hateful thing.

I've always had a horrible suspicion Cooper was responsible for Mini's fate. And that would not be Cooper's fault. But Jack's. She has form for introducing new animals and filming/photoing his discomfort.
There are proper ways of involving new pets into an existing pet's life and she never ever seemed to do it right.

yeah, pretty sure the canal’s suspicions aren’t too far awry re: what happened to very tiny (almost certainly babydaddy backyard bred) “Mini Cooper”. She’s VILE.

That's a picture of a large cat stalking a scared puppy and she thinks that's cool to put on the internet to show people? She photographed it in the first place rather than intervening. She's horrible.

Yeah tthat's not a happy puppy. Great first experience of cats for him. Top socialisation.

Didn't she share a photo of Cooper in the exact same location recently? Its as though she has glued her arse to that sofa.
Eta yes she has.

Also this pic from last year, that conk with the face attatched ffs. I'm not sorry either. She doesn't give a tit about Cooper's nose after all.

Already been said, but if he does that every time you walk in the door bleeping train him not to.

Well said!!!!! But but but you forget. She’s too burnt out to have the energy to stand and watch pasta cook for 10 mins. That’s how burnt out she is. She’s also too burnt out to write a series of promised blog posts on alternative ways to cook various pasta shapes. She wasn’t however, too burnt out to crunch numbers all night but was then too burnt out to provide any salient analysis of said crunched numbers.
Burnout Jack can get in the bleeping bin as well. It's like her ADHD/Autism crap. If you've been there, crying on a Sunday night cos you have to go back, panic attacks when the boss e-mails you, unable to focus on anything and all sense of priority and boundries gone then you know it's not just being a wee bit tired from sitting on your arse for 2 years.

If anyone is experiencing what they think may be burn out, go to your doctor. DO NOT, and I can't emphasise this enough, go to HR.

I bet she doesn't bother her arse about vet visits or pet insurance. I'm a rabbit woman and always have been. I'm a former vet nurse but even before I became one I managed to source a stethoscope, otoscope, urine sticks and meds for my bunny first aid box. I still have one decades later and I'm well up on health issues. I've managed to catch a lot early which can make all the difference. I'm not bigging myself up btw, but I think it is every pet owner's duty to have a thorough knowledge of their health requirements and have a first aid box. Tick twisters and styptic powder are useful for all mammals for e.g. even basic dressings and sugar water or treats for shock. Pre Internet I had a lot of books about the species related health care. Now I have the world's greatest encyclopedia in my palm. So there is no excuse not to self educate.

TDLR - guest is a lazy fucker who gets animals for clout instead of love. bleep.
@People-huv-tae-know your love of rabbits and the care you give them always makes my day. I really want a pair of free roamers, but so worried that they'd need a bigger space than our large(ish) flat or how heartbroken I'd be if anything happened to them, that it has stopped me getting them.

The animal first aid box is so fab, I bet guest mentions she has one soon (she'll be lying).

I'm on my way to join the Fraus doing the night shift down under. Family health issues and I need to see my sister. I will still read here, I can't keep away.
All I want now is for Jack to unlock her Xitter and a do a chaos. Come on Jack, it's a Tuesday.

ETA I was out with my other half (not left, etc) yesterday and a woman came over and said she thought he was Phil Vickery, and I was Marcus.

What the hecking heck chances are there that those two would be in a relationship? Just imagine.

If i was her i would get coopers bloods done. He has a similar look to him to my neighbours cats who both had underlying thyroid issues. Common in cats, but needs treatinf asap! She doesn't seem to have the basic understanding of caring for another living creature to the level that they require. This includes herself!

Making that for breakfast on a weekday is evidence of someone who doesn’t work and who doesn’t have kids in the house.
