Couldn’t understand why Babs Windsor or Joan Collins were made Dames.
The government hand awards out like Smarties, there's several Dames and Sirs that are highly questionable in my eyes
Just to go back on everyone saying how they don't photograph well, I don't either and as for how I sound, I have on 3 different occasions been asked if I would be interested in working on sex chat lines (this is going back to my late teens / early twenties, I'm nearly 50 now) and also would I be interested in dubbing over porn films as my voice is apparently sexy, pornographic, soft etc. etc. Of course I turned those lovely jobs down, believe me I have a face for radio and I'm not a fan of my voice really but it is what it is. Imagine if I had of said yes, I was told at the time that women were doing it whilst cleaning their house or just sitting watching TV whilst some 'punter' on the other end of the phone was getting "handy". Wonder what you would put on your CV ?

A girl I was at uni with worked on chatlines, but although it was highly paid per hour, it was hard (excuse the pun) to keep the clients on the line for longer than a few minutes, so it took a LOT of raunchy phone calls to make it worthwhile. She used to have a jug of water to pour into a bowl when the urolagnics rang, and a leather cushion to slap when the whippers wanted sound effects.
I think she put it on her CV as providing a telephone counselling service.

Joan Collins I love because she often says it how it is and doesn't play the fake celeb game. She is also the final hark back to old Hollywood that just doesn't exist anymore. Shes lived a life, had some horrible stuff happen to her and has some great Hollywood stories.
She's kind of ridiculous but fabulous at the same time. She's also done amazingly on very little talent.
