  • Jemma Brent (nee Solomon) is the founder and owner of international business The Label Lady. She started the business from a cabin in her back garden and now has moved to an HQ. Her range compromises of labels for anything and everything (otherwise known as stickers), homeware such as jars to decant pasta, herbs and flour into, cold cups and Christmas baubles. Since expanding into homeware she had acquired the unit next door and often refers to them as HQ1 and HQ2. She launched the business on 9th January 2020 which is also her husband’s birthday so every year is a double celebration (ie Lee can’t even have his birthday without it being all about Jemma).

At the end of December 2024 Jemma announces that running a small business is no longer making her happy, she feels immense pressure to make enough money each month to break even and pay her staff and the government do nothing to help support her. Therefore she is closing one of the HQs and reducing the number of products she offers.

In December 2025 announces the Label Lady is closing completely in January 2026. There will be a clearance sale and from 1st January she will just be known as Jemma (because that’s my name!) rather than The Label Lady. She needs to spend time with her children and hopes that they will have a house to build. On 2 January 2026 she changes her IG name to be jemma.solomon and changes her profile picture from The Label Lady logo to her own photograph. Some people in the comments question why she uses her maiden name of Solomon instead of her married name of Brent:

Prior to The Label Lady Jemma was a paediatric nurse. Previously she has said she continued to work some shifts and pay her registration fee but this has not been mentioned for some time. Whilst she was a nurse she launched her party planning business, Willow’s Den. It provided balloon arches, decorations and large light up numbers and letters for parties and weddings, all set up at venues by Jemma and Lee on their days off.

    FAMILY
Jemma has been with her husband Lee since they were teenagers and they married on 24th August 2018 at a local registry office. Lee used to be a roofer but is now a full time employee of The Label Lady. His main jobs are packing up the orders to be posted, unloading lorrys but most importantly being Jemma’s chauffeur and accompanying her literally everywhere. Jemma can drive but prefers not to. She also has anxiety when going anywhere alone (apart from when she needs me time and goes out with her girlfriends). If Lee can’t be with her she takes a banana to help cure this anxiety.

They have three children, Darcey (born 25th March 2013), Mila (19th May 2015) and Hudson (born 30th October 2017). The reason she uses the surname Solomon professionally is to protect the privacy of her children and definitely not because it brings her any extra business. Posting her children’s birthdays, in their school uniform, club schedules, in swimwear etc does not invade their privacy as much as if she used her actual surname which is Brent. The family have two dogs, Coco the beagle and Primrose the sausage dog.

In February 2025 Jemma showed she had received some flowers with no name on them but saying she was a great mum. There was every chance they were from a random follower who had found out her address, but it turned out they were from her mum. Jemma revealed she had a tough start to the weekend and she would be taking some time off IG (it turned out to be a week). When she returned she said Hudson had an accident the previous Friday. She didn’t want to go into the ins and outs because children have accidents, but he was treated at two separate hospitals and had to have plastic surgery, in an operation which lasted four hours on the Tuesday. She then showed all the homemade get well soon cards his friends had made him.

The week after Hudson’s accident the family were going to Switzerland for a skiing holiday with Stacey’s family and to stay with their brother Matthew. Lots of people asked if Hudson could go so Jemma wrote in a story he would be staying at home with Nanny. If he missed the family Jemma would fly home early.
He had already missed a trip to Peppa Pig World the weekend before for cousin Belle’s birthday when he stayed at home with Lee. Jemma and Mila went, there was no mention of Darcey’s whereabouts that weekend.

Jemma’s sister is Stacey Solomon. She barely ever mentions her though and her success is all down to her own hard work, not because of Stacey. But Stacey did introduce her to Lord Alan Sugar who invested in the business. And she does do undeclared ads (with links) for all Jemma’s products on IG to her six million followers. And she did get her an interview on Loose Women when she was a panellist. And she also got her a slot on Sort Your Life Out on prime time BBC One when Dilly was unwell. And Jemma does use Pickle Cottage as a backdrop for her photos and the names of Stacey’s children on all her example products. And Jemma is now represented by YMU who are also Stacey’s management team. But otherwise having Stacey as her sister is not helpful.

Mum Fiona - works at the HQ, seems to be a key holder and in charge when Jemma isn’t there, rarely appears on social media
Dad David - photographer but also helps out at the HQ when very busy (packing and unloading lorry’s) and babysitting the kids. Jemma bizarrely calls him Dave rather than dad
Brother Matthew and sister in law Rhi - do the website. They live in Switzerland so the family have been over there a couple of times skiing
Half brother Josh - from Dave’s second marriage. Rarely seen except on family holidays
Step sister Sam - PT. Was quite often on Stacey’s stories when she was having a gym phase. Lee also went to her gym but has disappeared recently

    SIDELINES
Jemma announced she had written a book called Love, Lists and Labels at the end of 2022. It was released in May 2023.
She began appearing on This Morning at the beginning of 2024, revealing her hacks for organisation and bizarrely how to decorate your Easter table.

    BUNGALOW RENOVATIONS
Jemma and Lee announced they were moving to a bungalow at the end of August 2024 (referred to as the old people’s home on the threads due to its decor) which requires total renovation (it has red carpet and no upstairs!) which will all be documented on her IG account. Jemma is already following companies who did work on Mark Wright’s house. She waited to do a house tour because strange people on the internet might want to find out where she had moved to but tattlers still found the new bungalow from what she shared on her stories. She pointed out her 11 year olds bedroom window from an external perspective while in the garden, which, being a bungalow, is on the ground floor. She has also shown that the fence at the back of their garden leads onto fields and is only waist high.
They sold their house for £690k and paid £840k for the bungalow.

Renovation plans were submitted for approval in January 2025 but declined in March

Updated plans were submitted but permission was declined for a second time in September 2025. In the meantime they have built a ‘shed’ in the garden which will be a gym, attached to a pergola for outdoor seating and a raised fish pond. No planning permission was sought for this which is probably why it is being referred to as a ‘shed’.

During 2024 her IG account has noticeably become much less about labels and more about BTS of her family. She even used to apologise for posting her family as it wasn’t business or label related. She now spends most of her time aff linking any item she’s shows on her stories, insisting she only gets pennies from each item. If it wasn’t lucrative though she wouldn’t be doing it, and certainly wouldn’t be closing a legitimate business to rely on it as her sole income.

Fame comes at a price as the Monday before she announced The Label Lady was closing the Daily Mail did an article with a less than flattering overview of her attempts to become an influencer like Stacey.
