I'm glad Kate is on the mend. The thing with cancer is that it's always sitting on your shoulder making you think that every little niggle is cancer so you're never really mentally free from it. Although I hope she can get past that...
When I first saw the video on my Instagram I thought it was an advert for Center Parcs so I scrolled on.

The topic has already been discussed in an adult manner, don't try and cause tit when there's no need to.
Scans and follow ups are part and parcel of the ongoing journey.
They certainly can help her remain cancer free because anything even slightly suspicious can be dealt with promptly.

Yes scans are part of the follow-up but they monitor, they won't help her remain cancer free. They might pick up anything new/recurrent quickly therefore make any subsequent treatments as effective as pos.

It was an odd comment to make and it would be interesting to know what she means, other than the obvious like giving up smoking to prevent lung cancer I think cancer is the luck of the draw unfortunately.

I like the Royals. Not overly arsed about whether we have the Monarchy as an institution but seeing as they’re there I do quite like Charles / Camilla and Kate / William.
However this thread can be entertaining when it descends into back biting

Catherine was/is a smoker, yes?
Presumably she'll have given that up now. And otherwise, she has great access to healthy food, exercise opportunities, all the traditional and alternative medical practitioners she could wish for, together with family support. None of that makes a cancer diagnosis or treatment easy, but she does look amazingly well in the video. Video can of course be edited, but she also looked well at Wimbledon, so hopefully she's on her way to full health.

I believe queen elizabeth II father George vi was a heavy smoker (presuming deceased royals count).
Seem to recall harry got caught smoking weed though that was likely just the folly of youth.
Princess Margaret, she always had a ciggie on the go.

Harry smoked but gave it up for Meghan!
Eugenie used to smoke but has since stopped.
Prince Philip smoked but gave it up once married.
Camilla was a heavy smoker but stopped ages ago at the encouragement of Charles.
I always thought Kate smoked but can’t find any evidence of it.

Kate definitely smoked- she was pictured doing it by the paparazzi in France. But obviously us British peasants are not permitted to see these filthy images and they have been axed from the internet. But I remember seeing them a few years ago before they were removed . Now the only photos of her linked to smoking is a glimpse of some ciggies in her handbag leaving Mahiki in around 2008- those are still discoverable online
To be fair, a lot of my friends smoked in their youth but all gave up once they got pregnant and had kids, so I think that probably counts for Kate & Eugenie.

I always presumed she quit once the partying days were over and she was getting ready to settle down and have kids.
Everyone smoked in those social circles. I remember seeing the smoking pictures of Kate back in the day too. Good on everyone for quitting, it's a vile habit and so horrendous for your health and the health of those around you.
ummm Meghan herself is a smoker. There is a picture of her smoking on the internet. And Harry is a stoner. He himself has said he smokes bags full of weed. When they were in Canada just after they left royal family he was smoking weed according to himself. That story about him not smoking because of Meghan is just a tabloid story. Just like they said Meghan was a vegan. Which she is not. She eats meat and wears leather.
