True crime - Morbid, Crime Junkie, The True Crime Enthusiast, Crime Divers, Seeing Red.
If u like Harry Potter, there’s a podcast called Poorly Read which is just basically 2 guys going through the book series chapter by chapter and making jokes and pointing out inconsistencies etc... it’s really funny!

Lets Not Meet, real life creepy stories. This isn't my sort of thing normally, but I am hooked.

Great tips in this thread! 😍

I listen to all my podcasts through Spotifly. I just have the free version.
How is the ad situation with the free version of Spotify? I've been thinking of trying it but was worried that there would be too many ads and it would be too annoying to listen to the podcasts.

I listen to podcasts whilst in my garage on my rowing machine.

The Rachel Maddow Show
Call Your Girlfirend
You, me & the big C
I'm Absolutely Fine
No Filter
Con Artists
Everything is Fine
The Adam Buxton Podcast
Katharine Ryan
Out to lunch with Jay Rayner

Seeing Red ...true crime podcast
UK True Crime....about 30 mins or under but very good.
The True Crime Enthusiast.
Real Crime Profile with Laura Richards, Jim Clemente and Lisa Zambetti.

Bit of a theme there 😁

Red Handed is good but I do get irritated with them inserting f bombs which are so false it's untrue, they clearly don't talk like this usually and it sounds fake. Once you've got over the intro and silliness though they are very good.

Seeing Red swear just as much but it's natural and clearly how they always speak to one another.

I just adore All Killa No Filla. Could listen to Kiri and Rachel natter on all day long.

Guilty Feminist - is pretty entertaining and informative.

RHSTPL - when I feel like some light relief.

My Favorite Murder - when I'm all out of All Killa episodes. 😂 Some of their episodes are fascinating, but Georgia's vocal fry is so grating.

All Killa No Filla - serial killer podcast hosted by stand up comedians Kiri Pritchard-Mclean and Rachel Fairburn, lots of laughs but when they're talking about the crimes they are a lot more sensitive and respectful or the victims than most true crime podcasts.
I have just been listening to their four part podcast about the Yorkshire Ripper. You are right, they are respectful of the victims and also angry with the level of misogyny within the police at the time. Basically, it was only when a non-sex worker was murdered that the police seemed to get more serious. They called the victim the only "innocent" one. Disgraceful. This shows how life has moved on from the seventies. Very interesting details and the two comedians are extremely likeable and funny. Thanks for the recommendation.

So glad you enjoyed it! I'm only on part two of that one now as I've listened from the beginning and rationed the episodes - feels appropriate listening to it since hearing last week's news. The police and press treatment of the victims was absolutely shocking. The BBC documentary from the perspective of the victims and their families was brilliant and worth keeping an eye out for if it comes back on iplayer.

I'm a True Crime fan:

Wine and Crime
Killer Instinct
True Crime Garage
Casefile
Crime Junkie
Killer Instinct
They Walk Among us

I've also just finished listening to "Catch and Kill" by Ronan Farrow, he's the journalist from the New Yorker (and Mia Farrows son) who broke the Harvey Winstein story and it's a deep dive 8 episode series on how it happened - it's insane, there was so much i didn't know about that case!

I have a U.K. true crime one, we are still fairly new, I think we only have 12 episodes so far, it’s called Crime Divers. Also, Seeing Red, they started off as U.K. but then went into worldwide, but I like them. The true crime enthusiast aswell.

None. Tried it, but the ads at the beginning put me off
They don’t all have ads... mine doesn’t have any lol

I listen to a lot of true crime, most of which have already been mentioned so I won't list them all, but if that's your thing I highly recommend Small Town Dicks podcast - hosted by Yeardley Smith, aka the voice of Lisa Simpson. A great listen!

As for comedy/other podcasts:
- My Dad Wrote A Porno

- Double Love
-if you are of the age where you spent your childhood reading Sweet Valley High books, you should listen to this podcast of two Irish women recapping each book!

- The Worst Idea of All Time - two New Zealand comedians watch the same movie once a week for a year and review it each time. Season 2, where they watched Sex and The City 2, for 52 weeks, is truly a rollercoaster of emotions.

- It's Britney witch - a podcast recapping Britney Spears' career by two fans. I'm not even a huge Britney fan but it was interesting and the hosts are very funny, I could listen to them talk about anything! Which then lead me on to their other podcast....

- Legends Only - a pop music/culture podcast by Bradley and T.Kyle, the hosts of the Britney podcast.

- Race Chaser - by Willam and Alaska (RuPaul's drag race podcast)

- The Bald & The Beautiful - by Trixie Mattel and Katya (again, probably best for drag race fans).
