My Dad Wrote a Porno is amazingly funny.

I like Case Files - its a true crime podcast. Also enjoy The Rewatchables, movie analysis and review of older films.

Podcasts are what get me through 10 hour shifts. I like comedy/film ones mainly

Adam buxton - long from convos and just him being great

off menu with Ed gamble & James acaster

The cinemile - Irish couple review films theyve just saw whilst walking home from the cinema

Films to be buried with - comedians/celebs/actors choosing films throughout their life based on q's

Friends with friends - Pete & dave pick an ep of friends and watch it and discuss it

My dad wrote a porno - is a must!

The high low - not as good as it once was but covers topical issues atm

Desert island dicks - basically people picking dick people and things they wouldn't want to be stuck on an island with

Katherine ryans podcast is good for a short one and I find her voice relaxing

Clash of the titles - Alex Zane, Chris & Vicki pick two films and pit them against each other.

Is it just me - celeb interviews
Scroobious pip distraction pieces- long form interviews
Flixwatcher - films
Table manners - celeb interviews

These all help me get through shifts and dog walks so I'd recommend

Strangers - the only issue is a lot of the episodes are only on Patreon. I have listened for years and have heard all episodes long before they moved over (the host took a break) but now have a subscription and 100% it’s worth it

Another to add to the list...Quilting with Mel Giedroyc. I can’t thread a needle but this is such a nice laid back listen! Her and co host Andy Bush basically chatting while sewing the squares for their quilt. Sounds weird but it’s not 😀

I like Jonathan Van Ness’ (from Queer Eye) podcast, discusses a topic with an expert. It’s quite American based but I really liked the one on the American Revolution.

Keep It - weekly pop culture & politics from Crooked Media (same company who do Pod Save America/Pod Save The World etc).

All Killa No Filla - serial killer podcast hosted by stand up comedians Kiri Pritchard-Mclean and Rachel Fairburn, lots of laughs but when they're talking about the crimes they are a lot more sensitive and respectful or the victims than most true crime podcasts.

The Guardian's Audio Long Reads - great if you don't have the time to read some of the interesting long reads they have online.

About Race with Reni Eddo-Lodge - only a few episodes, found this so interesting and informative about race issues relevant to the UK and it doesn't matter whether you've read her book or not (there's not much overlap).

An old one but I loved S-Town as well.

Next 'limited series'-type ones on my list are The Drop Out, I'll Be Gone In The Dark (about the Golden State Killer), Jon Ronson's The Last Days of August, and Slow Burn (there's four seasons, about Watergate, Clinton's impeachment, the death of Tupac, and David Duke).

my dad wrote a porno is hilarious and there is 5 series so loads to listen to.
I have to thank you and all others that have suggested this. I have not laughed this much in a long time. It is absolutely brilliant and I am only on episode 5 😂

Great taste!!

Out of curiosity does anyone pay for Paetreon subscriptions? I’ve been tempted by a few but I’m scared it’s a slippery slope and I’ll end up subscribing to loads and it’s not cheap at £5 each.

I listen to all my podcasts through Spotifly. I just have the free version.

I do for one. I paid for Strangers (by Lea Thau) but only because I listened to her podcast years ago, then listened to them all again and then at the start of lockdown I wanted to a third time but she moved over to Patreon and moved all episodes over. Hers is $1 a month... I paid for an annual sub in one go so that was my justification it’s just $12 or whatever the equivalent is in £. I want to subscribe to True Crime Obsessed but I can’t afford it

I absolutely love All Killa No Filla podcast.
True crime, funny northern ladies. They are very respectful to the victims while telling good stories and having fun.

I support their patreon. They have made a point of thanking their fans for helping them through this weird time, while saying it’s not expected. They are jobbing comedians who have had tours and whatnot cancelled.
