What’s your irrational fear?

Baked beans. Can’t even touch a tin of them, can’t be next to someone eating them, can’t look at them. The word even makes me feel sick, found it hard to type tbh lol.
Butterflies/moths.
Balloons.
Heights, even climbing stairs makes me feel dizzy/anxious.
I'm the same with baked beans too, I feel horrible even thinking of them! Bananas have the same effect too

I’m also worried about getting on a bus and someone cutting my hair with scissors. There was a story in the news years ago about a man targeting women on buses and cutting their hair at the back and it gives me the fear, I always sweep my hair to side when I sit on a bus.
I think a couple of Tattlers have experienced this- maybe discussed on one of the true crime maybe!

I’m the same with beans oh and peas 🤢

Submarines 😂 I always think there’s one under me even when I can see the bottom of the sea

Dead squid, and I'm not too fond of octopus either, dead or alive. I also hate walking across bridges, even tiny ones, but I don't think that's too irrational.

Zombies. I know they aren't real but when people shuffle walk or grunt the hairs on me neck stand up.

I have trypophobia too, I hate natural sea sponges or crumpets. It’s always seemed totally irrational to me but apparently it does have some sort of evolutionary basis. I can’t imagine how anyone doesn’t have it tbh.

Deep water. I always am scared what's beneath me. When I went scuba diving for the first time I really struggled with looking down in case I saw a great white speeding up at me (we was in Australia so there was a good chance of sharks). I had a panic attack when I watched that Open Water film and there's the scene where she looks down under the surface and sees all those sharks 😭

When people move oddly. So jerky movements. I can't watch films where the scary things walks or moves jerkily. The nurses in silent Hill scare the shot out of me and the crab scene in exorcist is the worst.

Masks. There's the killers in Luther that wear masks and it terrifies me so much.

Clowns. I have always found them creepy. Though I have mixed up feelings about Bill Skarsgaards pennywise as I quite fancy Bill 😂😂😂

I sometimes have those moments when I go to bed, fall asleep and then my subconscious state goes into a panic wondering if I will ever wake up again!

During that state I feel completely helpless, with no idea of how I will ever "wake up" so to speak, but obviously I do eventually.

I think this is more driven by when a cousin of mine died in his sleep. He was only in his early 30s when he died, which was obviously a big surprise. But it left an impression/irrational fear on me (19 at that time), which still lingers.

Jewellery & coins 😱

So weird, my fella always takes the piss out of me. I cant hold coins for too long it makes me shake and feel uncomfortable 😂 i dont like the feeling of gold, silver and bronze against my skin. I hate having change as soon as I get given the change from a note I just throw it in my purse and get my fella to get it out when I'm home😂

I'm the same with jewellery. It's a strange one because I can like the look of a bracelet or necklace on someone else (never rings) and not mind how they look. But I cant bare the thought of me wearing gold or silver and thinking of the feeling of it against my skin 😬 I always say to my fella I dont know what we are going to do if he ever wants to propose because I really don't want to wear a ring. I also completely hate jewellery on men 🤣 that's more of just an ick feeling though rather than fear. When I see a bloke wearing a gold or silver chain 🤮 my poor fella has been banished from ever wearing one. Poor sod 🤣

I know someone who’s the same with jewellery. Neither her or her husband wear a ring because of it. She came out in a rash once when someone bought her some Jewellery and she had to wear it in front of them

Big shoes, any big shoes. Mens shoes because they're so big in size, also the shoes/trainers that are in just now that look a bit platformy. What shape of foot lurks in such a thing. Any shoe that's big & weird 😂 yeah big shoes.

The deep sea. What's under there? I'd rather not know.

Childbirth. I know our body is built for it and thousands go through it daily but it still scares me.

Holes and the dark. Also, not being able to move my legs. If someone was to sit on my legs, i completely freak out. I dont know why, but I cannot cope with it!

I have a lot but don't think they're entirely irrational (I blame final destination). :ROFLMAO:

My main one is big trucks/lorries on the road. Even if I'm just walking on the pavement - I feel uneasy when they go by as if they're going to fall on their side or something. Its worse if they're those open-back ones and they have supplies in there.

Also chihuahuas. I don't think I've ever seen a chihuahua that wasn't barking for no reason before.
I never have but I wouldn’t dare use a sunbed after watching final destination 🤣
