Adult identical twins. Especially elderly people who are identical twins. I cannot cope at the thought. Completely freaks me out.

I have a fear that the house will fall down when I have a bath from the weight of the water so I tend to stick to showers even tho I’d love a bath 😹

Deep water. I always am scared what's beneath me. When I went scuba diving for the first time I really struggled with looking down in case I saw a great white speeding up at me (we was in Australia so there was a good chance of sharks). I had a panic attack when I watched that Open Water film and there's the scene where she looks down under the surface and sees all those sharks 😭

When people move oddly. So jerky movements. I can't watch films where the scary things walks or moves jerkily. The nurses in silent Hill scare the shot out of me and the crab scene in exorcist is the worst.

Masks. There's the killers in Luther that wear masks and it terrifies me so much.

Clowns. I have always found them creepy. Though I have mixed up feelings about Bill Skarsgaards pennywise as I quite fancy Bill 😂😂😂

My main one is big trucks/lorries on the road. Even if I'm just walking on the pavement - I feel uneasy when they go by as if they're going to fall on their side or something. Its worse if they're those open-back ones and they have supplies in there.
THIS! I have the exact same, whenever I drive on the motorway (or any other road to be fair) every time I’m next to a lorry I tense up and let out a little squeal. I want to close my eyes but my husband always tells me off 😂 I just feel like they’re always going to tip over on to my car. Don’t get me started when I’m in between two lorries I actually want to cry. Death by lorry sandwich is not the way I want to go.

Baked beans. Can’t even touch a tin of them, can’t be next to someone eating them, can’t look at them. The word even makes me feel sick, found it hard to type tbh lol.
Butterflies/moths.
Balloons.
Heights, even climbing stairs makes me feel dizzy/anxious.

The one what makes people laugh is seeing boats out of water/the bottom of the boat - it just looks unnatural to me and freaks me out so much! Like you’re not meant to see that part of a boat! Titanic is my favourite film weirdly enough but when the boat snaps in half and is bobbing up and down, where you can see the bottom of the ship, it gives me the heeby jeebies 😂

My mother.
It should have stopped when she died, but I just know she doesn't give up that easily.

I have a lot but don't think they're entirely irrational (I blame final destination). :ROFLMAO:

Also chihuahuas. I don't think I've ever seen a chihuahua that wasn't barking for no reason before.

If I'm driving into a multistory car park etc where there is a barrier, I get afraid and duck my head even in the car because I have this bizarre fear it will somehow hit me 😂
Other fear is public toilets--if the door isn't open to see it's empty, I get freaked out gently pushing the door open because I always think someone will jump out at me 😂

I don't like getting into lifts/elevators because
a/ I always think the supporting cable will snap and the lift will go hurtling towards the ground at speed;
b/ that the electric may cut out plunging the lift into darkness while stuck between floors,
c/ when the lift gets to your floor and the doors open and you're halfway stepping out, the lift should slip and you're crushed!

All 3 points are exacerbated further when the lift is full of people:eek:. And yet ordinarily I have no issues with claustrophobia

Plasters floating in pools
The grate/ drain thing which surrounds pools
Wet floors in changing rooms
Wet floors in toilets
The last two freak me out more when I see people bare foot in them :oops:😫

I’m also worried about getting on a bus and someone cutting my hair with scissors. There was a story in the news years ago about a man targeting women on buses and cutting their hair at the back and it gives me the fear, I always sweep my hair to side when I sit on a bus.

I don’t think my fear is entirely irrational. I think if you experienced the same thing you’d be scared too!

I have a fear of a certain size of tile that’s laid over an edge. So I’m ok with a flat tiled floor made of large tiles. I’m ok with tiny mosaic tiles on a wall. But mid size tiles over a bath edge or sink unit make me feel sick. Thinking about it now has made me feel a bit queasy.

20-25 years ago I was on holiday and enjoying myself in an outdoor pool - tiles everywhere. When I came out the pool I scraped my leg on the pool’s edge and the tile sliced a lot of the front of my leg off - like a big slice of ham. Blood everywhere. Oh Jesus.

Think I’m a bit odd, I had to have an MRI and I really enjoyed the half an hour lie down 😄
keep finding wood lice in my house, I pretty much see them as pets now, don’t know where they keep getting in!
My Dad fell asleep when he had one a few years back. They told him they'd never had anyone snore in an MRI before 😂

Sometimes I have this few seconds of fear that the electrical item or the switch will explode and kill my dogs when I am out and about. (I have this irrational thought, wouldn’t say is fear, whenever I hear about a news involving a fire or something, I was like please I hope no pets are in the house).

Faces looking at me 🤣. I can’t go to sleep facing my hubby. And it’s got so bad if it happens and I’m asleep I will wake up like I’ve sensed it and roll over. Makes him laugh. It’s why I can’t look at folk eye to eye when I’m talking. They must think I’m so weird
