I heard members Five Star regularly phone a guy called Eliot Fletcher at work and shout 'why are you so bleeping crap at your job!? You're bleeping crap! You're bleeping crap!'
I remember when that happened, and in recent years I managed to find that clip 🤣😂 I’m in such a silly mood today! I’m laughing my head off at this!:

Does anyone remember that singer called Jentina?
She came out with that song ‘Bad Ass stripper’ then the other one ‘French kisses’ - which I liked actually 😁

YESSSS! Lady Sovereign (remember her?) absolutely destroyed her career with a diss track called ‘Sad Ass Strippa’ and she had to abandon ship in the UK and go to Italy, where I think she was moderately successful.

I liked ‘French Kisses’ too, but ‘Bad Ass Stripper’ was cringe 😆

I just had to google the lyrics...

'You was born in a caravan,
That don't make you ghetto
I seen more ghetto in Posh Spice's stiletto
You chat like a blonde but I swear you're a brunette
When's your career endin'?
'Cause you're bleepin' annoyin' ma ears
With your bull walk and
bull talk and
Crack head dances!
And you didn't get crap advances
Your record labels dumb
For signing a fitch
Who can tracks her bum
Who's still askin her mum "What's rum?"
Your fake and you look k-cut
Try wearing less make-up
You got a quiff like Elvis
Escalade, St. Tropez.
What escalade! ?
I saw you drivin a Nissan Sunny down Peckham way.'

I am cringing

Didn’t she do a comeback as “Sov” ??

And announced she was a lesbian?

Did she do a reality show, i want to say the voice?

She was so bad on the programme last week, didn’t even know what the cupboards were made of! Even the agents on MDL and Selling Sunset know the houses in detail.

Radio 1 just played Daniel Bedingfield #Memories Don't care what anyone says he was ahead of the game. Twenty years ago he could bang out a memorable debut hit Gotta Get Thru This and then whack out something completely different like If You're Not The One. Very few acts even in this day and age can vary so well between a dance classic and a ballad. Not even the top dogs of the dance business like Calvin Harris and David Guetta have dared to try a soppy love song.

Ed Sheeran varies his genre of output considerably. Whether he does that 'so well' from other than a commercial perspective is debatable, of course.

I think this could either be the most tone deaf or sarcastic post I’ve ever read. Ed Sheeran’s music is just different shades of white in terms of variety, it more or less follows similar templates both lyrically and musically. If you genuinely think he offers variety in terms of genre I think you are either enormously misguided or naive. Ed Sheeran is the the relentless face of plain guitar/synth ballads. But he’s doing a great job of extracting money from the pockets of very gullible people….for that he is to be admired.

To be fair, he's done two songs I genuinely like. Castles on the Hill and Shivers are both really good, IMO.

Each to their own, there is of course a place for the likes of Ed Sheeran in the world, but dynamism, variety, experimentation and creative nous are all sadly lacking. Some of his songs are catchy but they are formulaic, hackneyed and enormously derivative (as is widely acknowledged and litigated) - the tricks used are what makes him successful repackaging what is essentially the same thing over and over again is what people seem to lap up….that familiarity, that warm pair of slippers. Yawn fest. His most redeeming feature is the way that he is prepared to send his image up in films and tv…very self aware, but very rich.

Just catching up, the green goddess emigrated to Tasmania a few years ago. She was on television last year with some stretches for seniors to do at home. I think she still makes exercise videos. She looked pretty fit.

Doesn’t Ed Sheeran just rip off anything that’s popular at the time? He’s currently cosplaying The Weeknd
