Don’t make any plans for anything

I also wish someone could have told Caroline flack that the media about her would have soon been forgotten :(

Don’t worry about all the weight you’re going to put on at Christmas as you won’t be going on holiday or seeing anyone for a while, eat until your hearts content!

Enjoy things while they last as you never know when they will be taken away from you.

That you will mend a broken heart from being dumped, and move on and find someone new. Everything happens for a reason.

I actually did stock up on loo roll in December in preparation for Brexit which I thought would be the biggest disruption in 2020. How naive I was!

Give your parents the biggest hugs every time you see them as you won’t be able to for a long time.

Get someone to look after the baby a lot until March as you will have no one to help you after March and it will bring on PND. It’s okay though. You will get through it.

Get the garden done before lockdown.
Bulk buy bog roll and baby formula. People will pay you double. But second hand gym equipment and sell it for a fortune.
Don't worry about your maternity leave ending in March, your not going back until the end of July.

Only clever thing I did was buy hand sanitier in bulk, I was obsessed with keeping my hands clean when I was pregant. Now my baby eats sock fluff of the carpet.

At the start of 2019 I would of told myself that you can allow yourself to be happy.
Don't let the words and actions of a domestic abuser ruin your future.
Now in 2020 I have a lovely boyfriend who is also a great role model to my son. He has supported me through so much and together I know we have a future.

Hi all,

So in these crazy times, I often find myself thinking 'If I could go back to December last year, what would I tell myself about what is to come?'

I've come to the conclusion I would say:

"Make sure you have enough loo roll to last a couple of weeks at all times. That spa day you have been planning to go on for your first one? Do it in Feb. Don't worry too much about saving for Florida 2020... also that new years resolution you'll make about seeing a new theatre performance every month? You won't stick to it. Give your niece a lot of cuddles. Make sure you have flour."

What would you want to say to yourself? (Maybe without directly saying btw there will be a big virus and 2020 is CANCELLED cos yenno, the butterfly effect and all 😂)

Book your Dublin trip for Feb not March!
Don’t put off buying handsanitizer, this is something I regularly bought before Cov19 came along.
Be careful what you wish for, March will be the last time you socialise 😂 I hate socialising but now I kinda miss it.
Buy flour and eggs.

I would say “having a baby makes everything better”

in 2019 I had my first child and even though the coronavirus is a bad time in everyone’s life I still have the happiness of my daughter. 💗

I'd laugh at how we all cancelled outdoor plans/outings because it was raining. Especially during summer, we said we'd do them next year 😆
Me and last year me would be quite smug that we always keep a good supply of toilet roll.

I'm glad we had no idea what was too come , I think the anxiety and worry would have spoilt the time we had.

Buy hand sanitiser 😅
Don’t worry about going to the gym and losing weight, make the most of seeing people and enjoying yourself- there will be time later to workout, even if it ends up being from home.
You really hate being in the office sometimes but working from home is a lot harder.
It might not feel like it now but the anxiety and depression you are experiencing are going to start to get better- even in difficult and strange times.
(last one is not specifically COVID related- but something my December self could have done with hearing.)
