Four, yes four, non-descript apples that SWMBO purchased earlier this week while on an economy drive shop - normally buys large Pink Ladies apples.

She tried one a few days later and declared they were foul.

Couldn't have been that bad, after all I've just necked 4, one after the other. Found they very moreish, if on the small side as you do find with supermarket prepack fruit.

Goodness knows what varietal they were. Not quite as sweet as a PL, but getting there, so maybe a Jazz?

It'll be back to large Pink Ladies next shop... might request some loose green apples - haven't had a green varietal for a while. Maybe go 'common' and ask for some Granny Smiths.
