OK

so this is my first ever thread having only been a member since the turn of the year

I'm a subscriber to BritBox and Acorn TV

SO MUCH GREAT STUFF ON BOTH

did anyone see that fabulous Aussie soap THE HEIGHTS on daytime BBC1 last summer?

it was like a modern take on the golden era of Neighbours

Marc Warren wasn't as good as the late Barry Foster on the revamped VAN DER VALK but I still enjoyed it

its such a treat to finally see Spitting Image come back

loved it for the first six years of my life

who saw that drama on the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire cheater THAT WAS GREAT

please forgive my obsession with telly in future posts

I have Cerebral Palsy and telly runs right through my veins

I’m not in the UK so I don’t know any of the shows you mentioned :(
I mostly watch Netflix. I finally got around to watch Grace and Frankie during lockdown, I absolutely adore it.
I find comfort in lighthearted shows so I also rewatched Brooklyn Nine-Nine and I’m currently rewatching New Girl. For some reason I enjoy these two shows way more now than I did before

I discovered Poldark in the latest lockdown, saving a few and trying not to binge it all.
Somebody feed Phil.
Shitisel. - All on Netflix.
The Founder and re-watched House - on Prime.
Also love Black ish on Disney +

I have cerebral palsy, too! (virtual fist bump)

I'm not much of a TV person, when it comes to TV I'm like a child, anything new and I totally switch off. in the sense that watching a new show stresses me out because I don't know what's going to happen!
I have a few comfort shows I seem to go back to over and over. Every Sunday I watch Doctor Who, for instance!
Brooklyn Nine Nine, Glee... proper brain-fluff stuff.

Ive been loving Real housewives of New York City on hayu.
Superstore on netflix and the new episodes are on soap2day. I binged this to get to the new season as its based in a supermarket and of course the pandemic is a huge part of the episodes.
Broad City on amazon prime.. I'd definitely recommend this, its an easy watch with short episodes
I also watched a film called the sitter on amazon prime. Jonah Hill is in it and ita fairly funny.
I recently finally got around to watching the new borat film, I enjoyed that as well

I re-watched Sex and The City and watched Lost for the first time.
Unforgotten - really good
The Crown

Nature / space documentaries too I find relaxing and make me switch off.

We munched on some crime & political dramas during the lockdowns:-
House of Cards (both UK and US versions)
State of Play
24
Luther
Criminal Minds
Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy
Breaking Bad
Justified
Homeland
The West Wing
Agents of Shield

... all of them kept us sane, especially over the winter lockdowns

Oooh some great choices there.
Homeland is one of my all time faves
It heavily influenced my youngest sons name

I finally got around to watching Taskmaster, loving it.
Scott & Bailey, one that was on my list for a bit too.
One Foot in the grave, rewatching after many years.
Lucifer I’ve dipped in and out of it since the beginning so hoping to finally catch up.
The Blacklist for the same reason as Lucifer.

I’ve been enjoying This Is Us, although I know it’s been around for a few years (Prime). Quite emotional and people-focused, not normally my sort of thing but it’s a great idea for a series, a good script and acting plus some humour and surprising twists.
Behind Her Eyes on Netflix was worth watching, if a bit bonkers (Netflix).
Bates Motel is on iPlayer, I’ve started to watch it, very well acted, will go back to it probably.
Just started on The Terror on iPlayer, about a 19th century naval expedition in frozen waters, with a mysterious creature lurking.
I rewatched Chernobyl again because it’s so brilliant (Sky/Now TV).

Virgin River on Netflix is a brilliant series and the last couple of nights I've also binged Chernobyl.

Absolutely BRILLIANT series.

Ooooh love this thread!

When They See Us - about the Central Park 5 and an emotional one! I bang on about this one all the time I think it’s such an important watch
Its a Sin - another emotional one
13 Reasons Why
You
Tin Star
The Umbrella Academy
The Haunting of Bly Manor (not as good as the first season)
I’m currently watching Lost for the first time
