This is why I said when I first watch the ytube vid. He has enough of a strong voice on his own songs but can't carry his and Marks. This tour IMO is going to bomb - they are taking on too much.

The fact they are touring without him says a lot. Westlife is Mark and Shane. They have always been the main two. Shane definitely has more verses in the early days. If Shane cannot or will not perform they are screwed.Well touring without the main singer just screams we need money

I genuinely think what they need to do, is do some massive documentary where they hash things out with Brian and come back as a 5, bit like Steps. Sorry but Nicky and Kian can’t sing and they’re flogging a dead horse these days - I’m suprised this three piece tour is selling, could be down to the posters not making it that clear Mark isn’t there. But honestly, would be happy for them never to come back that be a 3.
I don't think Mark will be back, we don't know what is wrong with him but sepsis, pneumonia, hernia and others have been mentioned in the press. You are right about N and K, they were the pretty boys in there to make up the numbers but now they are older this is not working. This 3 is never going to work as Shane will have to do so much of the singing and IMO he is not going to last that tour even with the miming, karaoke and group singing with the audience, that isn't going to cover the lack of live content. Also think he would be a bit resentful of what he has to put into it.
They could come back as a 5 with Brian and Keith Duffy or a 3 without N and K. I didn't think Boyzlife would be up to much until I watched Swear it Again and Picture of You on YT and they were OK and their own stuff if good, listening to it now, better than I thought it would ever be.
Before this gets too long. I live 140 miles from Birmingham and local coach company have just put tickets on sale for 16th October - Band A - Lower Tier including coach travel - £200
I know everyone has to make a living but God Forbid it is more than I get a week.

This is not half bad. Just listened to the full CD, At the beginning of Boyzone I thought KD was another pretty boy filler in.
I wish they would be honest about Mark. I get he doesn’t want to reveal his diagnosis but in some ways the speculation is worse. I also wonder if the remaining three know if he doesn’t come back and they announce that, they are finished. Hence the vagueness and Mark recording for the album but not touring.
Ive said already here that Shane being such an ass to me twice really put me off them. (Never meet your Heros) but without Mark I think they sound terrible

I went to look at the tour poster and there are no photos just dates etc. so reveals nothing.
Google -- The bandmates, Shane Filan, Kian Egan, and Nicky Byrne, are continuing as a trio for their 25th-anniversary celebrations and world tour dates. They have emphasized that Mark is still a core member of the band and that the "door is always open" for his return when he is fully recove

I am old and have listened to their music from 98 and have seen them live and on screen in cinemas but won't be goiing to see this tour.
My claim to fame is that I was on the beach when they filmed Obvious as we lived in Goa in the winter but the mess the production company left behind was dreadful, all the burned out beds and TV's were just left where they burned. Locals hated it all as they had to clean up the mess and not paid a rupee to do it. Not Westlife fault but they were blamed and all my Goan friends went back to -- Micheal Learns to Rock - they are a Danish band - have a listen.

Ronan is doing the BBC new year's eve slot. Shane and Keith are making an appearance, plus Louise Redknapp (is that still her name?), Shona from EastEnders and some other guy whose name escapes me. Clearly Mikey is only doing the reunion shows for the money. Good for him. I hate when bands reform and pretend to be friends.
Curious, does Louis Walsh make any money from these Boyzone reunions? Or is he completely out of the picture?
I bet there’s some clause with the old songs that makes him attached somehow. I wouldn’t be suprised!
