I don't doubt she loves Storie but she hasn't a clue what to do with her. She thinks the sign of a good parent is providing 'stuff' for your kid. She thinks it's OK for Storie to eat ready meals and chocolate bars because she eats them and she's skinny so Storie will be skinny too. When really she is setting her up very early in life with very bad eating habits. I know everyone doesn't always feed their kids the best of foods all the time but I don't know any mummy who hasn't googled what to feed their baby when weaning starts. Lauryn just doesn't seem interested in that side of parenting. She just wants to style her hair and match her clothes.

Even the whole living every minute in the bedroom when they're at home is strange. It's like she's still a teen living at home. Maybe because she has younger siblings she liked bringing them to her room and dressing them up, playing house, and it gave her mummy a break. But she's the parent this time and she hasn't developed into the parent she's still just playing house.

She said the other day Storie's like her, she hates being home, has to be out. Did she tell you that??? The child is probably bored to tears when she's home, watching you look in the mirror or talk to your phone! She could have one of those play pens with toys and stuff in it and let her play in it while she looks at her phone. It would at least be more fun for Storie girl!

Fully agree with all of this! She is obsessed with Storie and dotes on her but there is so much more to being a mum than dressing her and doing her hair. I gave my son a tablet when he was 2 ( I was stupid I knew no better) and genuinely it’s one of my biggest regrets. For my second child she won’t be getting a tablet for as long as I can possibly hold off she doesn’t get my phone or nothing

Mine got a tablet at 2 as well and I wouldn’t bother getting one for my next either they genuinely don’t need it at that age and it wasn’t used very much either, she wasn’t sitting in the house on it, she had it the odd time we where on a long drive down to my mums house or when we took her on holiday for the plane journey to watch movies we’d downloaded on it, she uses it more now for games at 4 years old.

As others have said before she’s in for a shock once that child hits the toddler stage, need eyes in the back of your head 24/7.

She's stayed relatively quiet until now from what I've seen on her TT. Maybe on her Insta she shares more but given she views herself as Gaelgor and I presume Nationalist she'd have spoken up more about the absolute tragedies that have been occurring over the last 20 months, in fact longer.

She doesn't have any self-awareness at all. She has no clue about Palestine only the sound bites she's hearing. If she was that informed she'd know about the BDS movement and avoid the likes of Zara. She could donate to the requests of aid.

As well as not being relatable to any other young(ish) single mum out there who is maybe struggling to afford even the basics for their wee one. I've said it before but who in their right mind would buy a 1 year old an IPad? It is ridiculous to think that they need that. Screen time should be reduced for little ones, they need interactive play from mum and toys to learn.

I'm going to sound awful but Storie is going to end up being delayed in certain things that she should be flourishing in especially with having a mum who is supposedly a teacher. I attended an event years ago by a community organisation and they spoke about babies being behind because their parents were stuck on their phones rather than engaging with them on the floor or reading/talking and helping them learn.
