Wayfair

That is basically the logic backing up this claim yes. That and the cabinets have human first names, seems to ignore that many products do.
Hmmmm sorry - but they’re not your bog standard human names. New look have jeans named Emiliee. Topshop have Mollie. Have you seen some of the names on Wayfair? It’s certainly strange...

This is a load of rit.

They are not trafficking.

But, that doesn't mean there isn't some weirdo who works in the product area that thought it would be funny to name the products that.

This started on a conspiracy reddit page. People have actually lost their minds believing anything these days. Much of this started circulating more on twitter which is a cesspool full of Russian bots spreading misinformation.

The ceo has not stepped down. https://www.google.com/amp/s/thecou...hah-wayfair-ceo-resigns-steps-down/22396/amp/

People need to get their head out of the sand and start using critical thinking. It has definitely got worse since people were in lockdown.

I was just came across this earlier on Instagram and was looking through this account and the info they have on it. I’ve spent the last couple of days reading through the conspiracy theory thread on here and it just freaks me out. One side of me is thinking it’s absolute BS, but one side of me wouldn’t be surprised at how ducked up this world could be

This hasn’t come from nowhere, if anyone’s seen the Jeffrey Epstein series nothing will surprise anymore. These people get away with things because of the money, the ceo is pictured with Epstein’s mrs the women who did all of the work . It’s mental. A random person on the internet hasn’t come up with this, 500 workers have gone on strike, it’s come from somewhere with resources
The workers went on strike before all this about something totally different. You see how easy it is to take two things and it sounds like they are linked, then someone believes the theory? 500 workers went on strike to that *must* add credit to the trafficking story, but not mentioning that the strikes were weeks ago and about something else entirely.
The first posts of this on the internet are linked to a reddit post literally just mentioning the names of the cabinets being the first names of some missing person/children and therefore concluding trafficking. No other informaition was included, this wasn't a whistleblowing, it was some random on the internet. Several of the missing children being mentioned in the original post as being "sold" on wayfair, were found shortly after their disappearance, so even that wasn't a credible element of the theory.

This woman does anti trafficking work. I highly recommend her stories on why Wayfair would NOT be used for trafficking and why the prices are not what would be used.

@hollychristinehayes

Also qanon are highly pushing this conspiracy and they are extremely right wing so yeah.

In regards to pricing being high there is a number of reasons a company may do this. Some websites make you pay to relist a item once its out of stock so to avoid paying to relist the item they show the item as being in stock even though its not and put the price ridiculously high to discourage people from buying it. Another reason is that if the item is put out of stock it ends up further down the page so they show the item as instock but put the price high to help keep its position on the page. On some websites the listing ends up being removed all together if the item is out of stock and when it is relisted it can end up in a lower position so they say the item is in when its not to stop this from happening.

Thank you so much for sharing this, I’ve seen so many people sharing the Wayfair conspiracy so it was brilliant to listen to someone who knows what they are talking about throughly debunk it, it’s worth a watch but will only be up for a few more hours unless she saves it.
I actually messaged someone who shared some of the Wayfair stuff and directed her to Holly’s page, she’ll probably ignore me but I had to do something it’s getting ridiculous (this same person shared a trafficking conspiracy about Mother Theresa this morning for goodness sake!!!) anyway thanks again at least now I have a solid argument when someone brings it up x

Some of the pricing on certain items matched up to the date of birth of the missing person. It’s strange!!

Think Alex Jones put up a theory (usually I'm not that into him but it's actually plausible) that this Wayfair scandal is a planted distraction from the Maxwell case. Never thought of that and since it's been well publicised and the media only let us see what we want to see...
