Has anyone seen this going round?

It’s about child trafficking. Missing children around the world, there names being a wardrobe or shower curtain selling for £100000

I haven’t got any pictures but it seems to be doing the rounds on social media.

apologies if this isn’t allowed

Yes Ive heard about this at first I thought there was nothing to the story as sometimes items are marked up to prevent people buying them rather than pulling the whole listing and sometimes prices are incorrectly put into the system. However when Wayfair started to justify the ridiculous price settings it has made me think that it should at least be looked into. It all seems too odd to be coincidental

Why would trafficking need to take place on a mainstream website when there’s the dark web?

All this tit seems to be done so brazenly in plain sight .....because the rich and elite have been getting away with it for so long it’s like they get some weird kick out of it!!!

Am I understanding this right? Someone thought a cabinet was too highly priced and made the leap it was trafficking children. I don't get how that happened. I was about to buy a light from there, that could have been interesting

That is basically the logic backing up this claim yes. That and the cabinets have human first names, seems to ignore that many products do.

I have always wondered why some things on the site are ridiculously overpriced. Like a big standard bed listed at like £12k. I think it’s a big leap to decide the only possible explanation is child trafficking though

Im genuinely confused as to why people are believing this? The people who do this have means of buying anything and anyone they want, why on earth would it be on a furniture site?! 🤣

I’ve heard about this, most people seem adamant it is because the names of the products are supposedly names of missing children, I don’t know what to think though. Loads of products have names of children - my bed frame is called Mollie. Even if it was trafficking I doubt it’d be going on on way fair?! Maybe that makes me really naive.

I agree that it’s likely nonsense as this stuff is already done on the dark web

I would love to know the real explanation for the prices though. The same / very similar items going for such extremely differently prices is so odd. I’ve seen it before but only a few quid, not $99 vs almost $10k. No one would pay that much for a shower curtain. Surely there’s an innocuous explanation for this?

The part about products often having children’s names - true but the examples I saw were unusual names I’d never heard before. I don’t believe the theory but it’s a weird coincidence

They've been taken down since people started questioning it, it can't be nothing
