Walking machines/treadmills

Bit random I know but thinking of getting one for a relative to help them get more exercise (sightloss so not confident outside)?

Does anyone have one? Not talking a normal treadmill, more those smaller ones that can be folded away.

Their flat is on the second floor so am concerned about vibrations to flat below even though they'll only be walking and not running?

Any tips or recommendations appreciated

What about a stationary elliptical? Get legs moving, no sound for downstairs, and super portable? Might be a good option.
