I'm surprised at that. My local one which isn't a big one, was full of then. I already have a couple of packs of other mince pies so wasn't going to get any, but yeah was stocked this way. I think that's very recently changed to be like that. edit = the app now similar scale like Lidl.

Well if they do that they better not scrimp on the mincemeat, Waitrose have literally painted it onto the pastry in the small ones I tried.
I've seen the limoncello ones but haven't tried them. Limoncello appears to be this years salted caramel (although Sainsburys aren't quite prepared to let the salted caramel trend die)
Waitrose have limoncello Panettone as well as the pies , Sainsburys have salted caramel mince pies and limoncello Panettone.

It wasn't a cheap meal as the Sausages were a fiver, but it was bloody lovely and very easy.
I did buy all the recommended ingredients but it would be easy to economise on the Sausages (although the garlic sausages are lovely) and eggs.

Apparently some Waitrose stores had a tasting event so on the advice of a friend I dropped into my (small) Waitrose, no tasting event but I had a look around and lots of new Xmas food in store, The pistachio and cherry stollen looks lush.
I like the Waitrose own label greek yogurt. I'd argue it's better than FAGE, but then again I think it's because it contains more large than the FAGE brand ones. I think Waitrose bakery section is the best out there.
I'll have to take a trip there either tomorrow or Sat, I need to get a small shop and will be heading that way. Although the one I go to that is closest is a smaller store.

Agree about the yogurt and the bakery, It's a tragedy that a supermarket has a better bakery than an actual bakers but here we are (although it's not as good as it used to be, sad farewell to the chocolate berliner and the rose and raspberry doughnut)
Is it bad form to order this and be the only one who is going to eat it? (I live alone). Normally I'd get one of the Iceland rings but this looks much better.

I absolutely would and have bought myself pots of that and M&S equivalent to eat by myself. Avocados nice bread nice leaves. Go for it! Eat it straight from the pot.

I do enjoy prawn cocktail. The only reason I don't buy it more often is due to price these days, but I love putting a big tablespoon worth of prawn cocktail in between two slices of thick sliced bread. Mmm. Lovely. Sometimes I add a little hot sauce too, but not that often.
Anyone have anyone recommendations for Christmas bits and pieces - anything from nibbles, sides, desserts? I have a slot booked for Saturday as a treat, but nothing is jumping out at me, and it's too far for me to actually go to the store to browse. I have the lemon clotted cream in my basket, but not sure what I'd have it with maybe I can eat it from the tub with a spoon.

That yoghurt is fantastic, I buy so much of it. I use it for dips and also use it in place of mayo for a lot of things so I go through a lot.
Bakery is also amazing, especially with the new addition of Ole and Steen cinnamon socials
I do my main shop online, but travel for the yoghurt, cinnamon socials and the cashmere feel toilet roll lol.
Brandy butter mince pies yellow stickered 60p this morning
I wanted some of the frangipane mince pies and the brown butter ones and the Wilmslow store bloody had none, tonnes of Limoncello and Brandy Buttercream ones.
The frangipane was lovely but like most of the hybrid mince pies, it was seriously lacking in mincemeat.
The Prince Alexandre Cremant de Loire at £10 is unbeatable.

Damn, I went in yesterday to my local one and nothing on yellow sticker. I went in half hour before closing too. But it's not a big store, so could be why. I couldn't be bothered to travel the extra miles to the big one. Today is probably a good day to go, but I know it will be super busy as last night it was quite busy in my local one.
