What’s a pyramid scheme about vix? Is she teaching people to teach others or something? Is anyone able to explain it to me without me having to delve into the depths of her hideously coloured social media feed?

There’s also a side discussion about “SEO experts” and it made me think of Emma Drew who also has a thread on here. She sells her “how to make money blogging” courses and it’s nothing new, and all available free online elsewhere.
I’m glad the penny is dropping with people and this is being exposed

Vix isn’t an expert, has no training, and has already told people she won’t reply to DMs etc unless you’re paying her. Yet people who have signed up have said the content is crap and shes constantly apologising for being absent

To be honest isn’t Alice Benham in the same boat? The more I look into the content she shares, the less surprised I am that she’s working with Vix. She is yet another self-proclaimed digital marketing coach without an ounce of real industry experience (no, a year as a social media freelancer does not cut it), no qualifications, no depth of experience. These so called experts are all dodgy

Alice Benham’s previous experience is working in a garden centre and doing a couple of free online courses that take a few hours to complete!!!!!

It just shows how easy it is to exploit vunerable wannabe influencers and how much people will pay to buy into the Instagram dream. It reminds me of the black mirror where life and social status is based on likes.

I'm not surprised she doesn't have that much experience. She's young. Don't get me wrong, I love to see people going after what they want at any age. But it's pretty unusual to be an expert at anything so young. I don't know a lot about Alice so don't know if she claims to be an expert, though I suppose it could be said anyone doing that kind of thing is positioning themselves as an expert regardless of whether they are actually saying it out loud. To be honest, I think if people stepped away from the expert status, especially in an industry that is so rapidly changing like digital marketing, and more into presenting themselves as dedicated to keeping up with and learning the industry as it evolves, that might be a bit more genuine.

But yeah, the online world can be super shady. Lots of people claiming to be experts but are literal scam artists.

In all fairness Alice’s courses provide value and info you can’t find on google; she’s found systems that work and teaches those - I’ve done a few of her courses and have always helped and brought in more £££ to my business x
