I'm not even that into harry potter but want to buy it just because of all the campaigns to boycott JK and tedious jokes by Rebel Wilson.

It is exciting if it's coming out on switch, it's always really impressive to see when things are ported well to switch.

Have they said they are going do it on switch? I thought it was just PlayStation, xbox an pc, if its going be on switch I'll be intrested to see how well it will be done, I know open world isn't a problem for them now with breath of the wild an such so will be cool to see how legacy holds up on that platform, for me it's going the the series X I'll get it on so looking forward to seeing the graphics with it

It's ridiculous all these boycotts cause of JK when she had nothing to even do with the game, I love JK but the game is just taking her world, she didn't have any involvement what so ever with it an honestly the devs have worked hard on this, I'll be preordering it an getting it on release day, I can't wait for it

Yep announced on switch and apparently not cloud. Although it's the unreal engine and that's resulted in awful games like GTA on switch. So we will see!

I've got lost reading some gamers thoughts on JK and it's bananas to me:

Should You Play Hogwarts Legacy If You Care About Your Trans Friends?

What could have been an exciting time for life-long Harry Potter fans has become a moral quagmire thanks to JK Rowling’s unwavering commitment to the persecution of transgender people. Now that Rowling has become the figurehead of a hate group, we can’t just buy a Harry Potter game without grappling with the social and ethical ramifications of supporting her media empire.

Ahh got ya, hopefully it won't be as bad on switch as some of the other ones have been, although I am a little nervous with portkey being in the works of it, portkey did the wizards unite game an honestly it was a mess, constant bugs, constant having to delay events because of it going wrong, events not working how they should have etc after two years of wizards unite I decided to just pack it in

I love how in that it states she relies on HP for her success, urm she's made her money lol, she could retire tomorrow if she wanted an still live a incredible comfortably life lol, an she has been successful with other books outside of HP as well, honestly these people 🙄

I just watched it an omg I CANNOT WAIT for this, it looks incredible, I know I am going spend so many hours just exploring hogwarts itself not to mention exploring outside it then the whole storyline, I never seen any quidditch though so am hoping they are still going add that in, I am loving the fact you can pick an adapt to what play style you want, an also that depending on what house depends on how characters will react around you, obviously slytherin will be my first choice but replaying it I'd love to pick another house an try different play styles

Am hoping it's before Xmas tbh, I know holiday is generally classed as being xmas/new year an for the UK that's our official holiday season but we also use the term holiday for Easter an summer here so hoping that they are going for summer release

Isn't there another huge game set for Xmas release, stargate or somthing, unless the two are going battle for Xmas then it would make sense to have legacy out summer an then Xmas for the other one
I've already told people that they my not hear from me once the game comes out. 😆.I'm hopeful for a later release just so that I can finish the new horizon game so that doesn't get left in the dust lol!it just looks so good! And no wonder it got delayed! Reminds me of poa that I played on the PS2 just a ton better.

Not sure I've heard of another game being released?🤔

I try to keep up as much as I can with games, although I don't know much about this stargate I do know it's scheduled for 2022 an it's rumoured to be Xmas time, apparntly I've heard it will be big but again I don't know too much about it

I think this year will be big for games, so many that had delays with covid are all catching up now so will all be coming out, I just hope we won't have another cyberpunk disaster with legacy cause it was a mess what happened

Starfield, it's out November. It's made by Bethesda (Skyrim etc.) so I don't expect the demographics are going to be a massive overlap between a Bethesda game in space vs a Harry Potter game.

I'm not really that excited about Hogwarts tbh because Avalanche aren't exactly known for making anything good, big, or impressive 😂 if it was a different studio I might be more hyped but they make pretty basic games for little kids (Cars, Toy Story etc.) so I'm not really jazzed about it.

Ahh got ya, probably has that hype then cause its made by Bethesda, somtimes hype carrys only cause of a name an nothing else, wonder if it will go to game pass as well seeing as Microsoft bought them over

Past little while I haven't been too impressed with game pass, just nothing that's really my cup of tea but that's my personal taste, hoping they pick up soon, I'd love for more little gems like twelve minutes, omno, and subliminal etc

It's been acquired by WB since then and this is its first release following that I think. So could be a mostly new team.

These days even the studios that are known for solid AAA games duck it up, so who knows!

I used to work for WB (🔺) and we did some work with them and they were just terrible and made all the kids Disney rubbish that was just cash grabs for films. Though you're right, way too many AAAs do a crap job these days so maybe I shouldn't be so quick to talk tit 😂

noo! i completely forgot they where coming out tbh lol!!
But im excited for the new kirby switch game thats coming out at the end of this month!

Sorry for your loss, Padfoot :(

I'm having a nice nostalgic time in Baldur's Gate right now - never got this far through it before, but just got one more character I want to level up before I go into the city itself.
I'm playing Baldurs gate for the first time at the moment, I'm a huge fan of the original mass effect trilogy and first two dragon age games so I thought it would be cool to go back in time and see Bioware's first ever RPG.

It's great fun, but wow there are so many numbers to try and fathom! Love just wandering round the wilderness with my little crew though, getting instakilled and having to reload into all kind of adventures 😂

The new Kirby game looks brilliant - great for kids as well!

Oh God yes, I quicksave every 30 seconds or so! Just started chapter 7. I've got Baldur's Gate 2, Icewind Dale and Neverwinter Nights to look forward to after this :)

You'll have to update me with your thoughts on them, as I've not played those before either! I think they've all been ported to switch now.

I'm hoping playing Baldurs Gate will help understand how the other games work too. Even on easy mode for my first playthrough I've really struggled at times.

I'm having a whale of a time now that my mage has a full team though, with my character levelling up and more targets for enemies to attack instead of my squishy self, I'm not dying so much or at low health after every battle.

I'm currently going through these maps like a bull in a China shop and absolutely screwing everything up, hope your game is going more successfully! 😂

I didn't know people would get upset if you went into their homes and started taking things out of the boxes and chests and barrels. The containers weren't marked red or anything, but with hindsight it does seem rather obvious. I think the game expected me to be smarter than this 😂

Guards were called. They declined my generous bribe and issued me with a death sentence - for ONE petty theft. There didn't even seem to be an option to give the necklace or whatever it was that I took back!

I tried to leave the house but it was too late, my teammates had absolutely destroyed the poor guards within seconds. Easy difficulty meant they never stood a chance I guess.

Now for some reason the rest of the team is mad at ME?! They keep sniping at me and Khalid even said something like "oh [only recently dead foster father] would be so disappointed in you." Which I thought was rather a low blow.

My Gorian is DEAD. Please leave me alone.

The moral high horse here is admittedly more of a moral Shetland pony, but I was the bigger person and decided not to murder Khalish mate. I did think about it, but his girlfriend is the team's healer, and I feel like killing him would probably cause some issues with her.

No longer feeling welcome in civilisation, I decided to take the gang on a team bonding trip through the wilderness where hopefully we would find some people to help and they would all start to like me again.

The 2nd most important character in the franchise promptly ran into a basilisk, who turned her to stone and then shattered her statue. Rest in pieces Imoen. Can't wait to see how they cope with this in baldurs gate 2, since I hear she's kind of a big deal.

I went to Durlags tower thinking that was where the story wanted me to go next as they mentioned a fort. Bloody hell. I kept dying and dying and dying. Ended up giving in and googling it, only to learn this place has nothing to do with the main story and and is actually high level content for later on, so backwards I went (setting off all the traps again). We got the hell out of there and took ourselves off to Cloakwood.

My reputation is 5 at the moment, up from 3. I don't know if that is high enough for guards to leave me alone now, and I'm worried if I go into town to check my teammates will just kill more guards if they turn hostile, wrecking our rep again. I usually play a goody two shoes in games so I'm not used to being hated 😭 at least my grieving for Imoen is over now that I have Coran and he seems better in every way 😂

In everyone's next Baldurs Gate playthrough, might I suggest a chaotic evil pixie halfling Thief called Munroe for the team, with proficiencies in scalpels, dual wielding phones (for maximum tweets per second), and grifting. Any group of adventurers will probably need a camp chef... inexplicable basilisk egg on toast, anyone?

This is hilarious, makes me want to go and play it.

I got Kirby for my Switch last weekend, I’ve not had much chance to play it but have enjoyed the bits I have played on it. I also got Life Is Strange True Colors for my PS5 as it was on sale but not started it yet,

I've never got very far in BG2 or Icewind Dale, but Icewind Dale has one of the most gorgeous soundtracks I've heard in an RPG. Neverwinter Nights I've finished before and it's a bit easier than the others, the control system is different too.

At a rep of 5 you've still got a 10% chance of the Flaming Fist turning up, if you can get one more point they'll leave you alone - easiest way is to find a temple and make a donation if you've got 500 gold to spare. I'm playing it as a goody two-shoes paladin and if I get any more saintly I think Jaheira is going to leave. Still have Imoen, Khalid comes with Jaheira, and I've got Dynaheir and Minsc (and Boo) because who can resist a man with a miniature giant space hamster?

Monroe the thief would be a more annoying character than Noober, the guy who keeps pestering you at the bridge out of Nashkel, and that's saying something.
