Amnesty called it "man-made and deliberately orchestrated".

If you can understand that it is antisemitic to hold all Jewish people responsible for the actions of Netanyahu's government.

The Freedom Flotillas carry basic food and aid. The only reason people are now shocked by Ben-Gvir’s video is because it shows European and Western citizens being forced with zip-ties this time. This isn't a one off anomaly; it's the exact same system Palestinians are subjected.

Even South Korea has now entered the diplomatic fray:

"What is the legal basis for Israel seizing or sinking ships, including those carrying our citizens who were volunteering for Gaza? Israel is violating all minimum international norms. "

That last line is why it matters for us at home in the uk. Launching armed military raids completely outside its territory is not a small thing, it sets a dangerous precedent.

I dont think political parties should be accepting donations from people / companies overseas. He's lived in Thailand for over two decades, what stake does he have in the inner workings of the UK political system.

But what is this "it's not very British" nonsense accusation that the labour lot keep throwing at people recently. I presume one of their media think tanks has told them to say it. Well it doesn't work. On the contrary Rachel, I'd say the bloke in the tipper truck is displaying far more Britishness and seems far more down to earth than any politician. At least he is trying to do a day's work whereas most of the government hasn't ever had a proper job outside of politics or dodgy charities (looking at you Kyle and Phillipson).

Where is the evidence of famine? There are just spurious reports based on information fed to them by the Palestine Ministry of Health and we all know who controls them.

I think that's a different point. People who legally live, work, pay tax, and build lives in the UK should have some political participation because they are directly affected by decisions made here.

People living abroad long term are less directly affected by UK policy, so large political donations seems questionable to me.

Absolutely love this. Andy Burnham is a strange man. He had a hissy fit about reporters “waltzing in” to a public cafe whilst doing a report on the reform lot that were also out campaigning. There’s an article in the Dailymail about it detailing his completely bizarre reaction.

I happen to have recently moved to golborne, and I live metres from Andy. I find it very strange that he is so offended by reporters in this situation, but wasn’t offended by the media he claims were camped outside his home. He was quite happy for them to “waltz” around a residential area filming and photograph him jogging and definitely did not set it up. (Spoiler alert; nobody has been camped outside his house and he definitely set it up with them).

More smoke and mirrors from Burnham/politicians, when are they going to be honest with us? Errrrr, never.

He is a strange man, just dancing to whichever tune appeals to him and to make himself front and centre. Ducks out of Westminster, where he failed to become party leader, to go to be the Mayor of Greater Manchester, basically because he is from that area and perceived to be the Messiah ...... he's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy.
