The funniest thing about it is she isn’t even a mum yet but she’s made 10,000 posts, articles and stories giving out advice on motherhood herself 🤣
And the amount of posts/articles/substacks about how it’s totally not too late guys! You can be in your late 30s and still find looooovvveee. You can still have a babbbbyyy. Your dreams can still come truuuuueeee. Look at me! I am proof and inspiration of that!

I don’t understand how she makes so many stories, reels and articles about this topic, and then clutches her pearls at a follower asking about it, like it’s suddenly too personal.
And now today it’s ‘one of the best things she’s ever done’, which is odd if you’ve never even used them.

I thought that response was so rude. How does she have any followers?

I do understand some questions can veer into inappropriate but that one wasn't so bad. And she could have ignored it instead she chose to call out the person

Exactly, just choose to not answer it if you don’t want to. That follower asked so nicely too.

I understand how it can sometimes be taboo to ask about IVF, but she literally made thousands off a paid partnership around this, so it makes sense that her followers will then ask about it.

Yikes how can that surprise her? It might be a personal and nosy question for a random but given how much she had shared on this exact topic… not really at all?

This is a response I got off her when I engaged with a story about new mums + PPD when they don't have a mum in their life - the post mentioned death and estrangement (which is relevant to me), I thanked her for sharing it as I had lived experience but no idea about the stats.

This was the response I got...I blocked her.

WTF? It’s not like you out of nowhere mentioned this very personal information (which honestly would still not warrant that response), unsure if she knows what empathy means?

I too am estranged from my mother. I didn't have the PPD experience but I do find many people are very dismissive of the experience/reasons.

Tully obviously one of those people 🙄

What I found even more crazy was that she wasn't even pregnant at this point, so the new mum rhetoric didn't even apply to her? I actually have kids. I even double checked I hadn't accidentally written something rude or that could be misinterpreted, jaw was on the floor at the response.

Yes, feels like some people think it can be boiled down to a simple, flippant choice rather than something to protect your own peace / mental health. I've spent more of my life estranged from my mum than with her in it, of course I wouldn't have chosen that if I had no other option.

Sending love, it's tough.

That is so incredibly horrible and I’m so sorry she wrote that to you. My mum is disabled, she will never be able to physically pick up and hold my baby, she wasn’t able to come and help me postpartum and she isn’t emotionally supportive either for a myriad of reasons. I still love her because she’s my mum, but it breaks my heart every day that this is my experience of motherhood. But at least she’s alive hey Tully?

For a long time Tully’s mum was alive but still wouldn’t have been able to be involved in anything really. Obviously that was a very hard time for her and sad for everyone, but I can only imagine if someone had told her that at least her mother was alive…

Honestly part of me is relieved that other people are shocked by her response too.

I'm sorry that you're going through that as your motherhood experience, appreciate you sharing ♥ going through life (kids or not) without a present mum figure is tough.

I should also add that in all this, I totally don't believe I have it 'harder' than someone who's mum has passed away, I was just shocked by Tully's message.

We all have our own struggles, it’s never fair to judge or compare and her comment had no kindness in it. You didn’t deserve that 🩷
