Something I found quite sad about Mary was she explained on a podcast that she uses ALL her annual leave on TPD events, so she doesn't get to go anywhere with her mates (unless they also go to the festivals, which let's face it more like 2-3 not 20).
She said that's her choice and she's happy with it but girl you don't get these years back, and if you then retire from the non stop festival content life and you turn round and all your girls are at a stage of life where they have families / high flying careers and significantly less time for you... Like, ouch!

Their patreons must be paying amazingly well if they can all afford to go over to America again for Powertrip festival at Coachella grounds with all the big metal headliner bands on the line up which cost a lot and then to go and spend $872 in Target.
I see they didn’t enjoy Iron Maiden but they’re doing the Future past tour atm and it’s not for everyone and they complained that they didn’t play all the ‘bangers’, everyone’s entitled to their opinion of course but didn’t think it was right saying they weren’t worth the ticket price. But I guess they went so we didn’t have to, no normal person from the UK would go to that just cause of the sheer expense. Was a great line up though it had AC/DC, Maiden, Judas Priest, Tool, Guns n Roses and Metallica so no wonder there weren’t bands on in the day..

It didn’t look great before bands came on and food drinks were extortionate but I guess they’ve got to charge that much to pay all the big names they had on. They even closed the bars after the bands..
It was Jake Varley’s 30th recently so he is older than we originally thought lol.
I think the Jake birthday shout out was a joke tbf. Yeah, they definitely earn a lot off the patreon, I think Jake is the only one that’s quit his job for TPD full time though?

He said he'd said no the first time they asked so not sure why he had some of the Vape. I'm surprised he would even consider trusting randomers at Festivals seen as how many he's been to

to be fair my eyes popped out of my head at the $800 target spend but then I reasoned that there were (5?) of them so that’s maybe $160-180ish per person…for a full festival shop plus American prices I don’t think that’s crazy. When I do my festival shops I spend about £100 on booze, snacks etc (and I never buy that much water lol)

I think they did the best they could - they clearly weren't massively enjoying it. I wonder why Raz got punched.

The videos seem a little less funny these days - I guess they are more focused on building the channel. I wonder what is their (Robs) ultimate goal for the channel? They can't keep going to festivals forever.
They’re definitely focused on the subs and views now they’ve tasted success with the Coachella vid. I wonder what they’re going to do now festival season is over.

I think you’re right. The festivals must take up a lot of leave from work especially with travel as well. I keep expecting Rob to say he’s quit his job but not sure how much money they even make off of the videos after exepenses
It can’t be much especially when it’s being split 7/8 ways.

For all their mentioning of Japan the video was terrible. With the last 3 or 4 videos they've generally hit their lull period.

Also the one without Mary and Rob was strange. Dan, Raz, Jake and that Geordie one can barely seem to stand each other.

I could only watch half of the Boomtown video they all just completely did my head in trying to solve all the puzzles, couldn’t be doing with that crap at a festival tbh
Yeah I wouldn’t be doing it either, but I guess they have to show different things because people would also moan if they just listened to awful EDM all weekend

If that's referring to what Dan said at the beginning of today's video, then I would take it with a pinch of salt. He always moans about everything and to be quite honest, he always ruins TPDTV content for me with his constant negativity. I'd even go as far as saying I can't stand him.
I’ve heard it before and Dan kinda confirmed it. I get what you mean though, he seemed extra grouchy in that.

The Jake thing didn’t sit well with me and made me think of people who used to be in regular videos who seemed to get cast out (just based on what was covered in their videos. Specifically Chloe, but other people too seemed to disappear) obvs we know what happened with cleasby so fair play. Maybe they’ve exposed a side of themselves they’ve done well to keep hidden til now?

I enjoyed the Tomorrowland video. I’d have felt the same as them, cool looking festival but not my choice of music!

There views are really low at the moment, Rob is blaming the algorithm but every video is basically the same thing now
Blaming the algorithm is a weak excuse. They just keep rinse & repeating stuff. They have the contacts & resources to show different sides of gigs & festival culture. Since Jake was sidelined ve enjoyed his content. maybe cause its a lot of stuff he goes to is in Scotland due to his girlfriend being up there.
