ALL of his vlogs with the end screen music (he started using it around eight years ago) have been copyright claimed, so he says. He said he’ll go into it more tomorrow.
Basically copyright claim means the claimant gets all the money from your videos. From the date they filed the claim moving forward not for all time although he’ll probably try to suggest that to make it seem more sympathetic towards his plight
First of all, it’s his own fault for not using a song from the YouTube Library. Dumb ass could also have paid somebody to write him original music. I literally did that with a guy on Fiverr for $50.
Second of all this does happen where a song is copyright free but then it gets bought or something and becomes claimable. So this may have happened to him. Not sure where he got his music from.
But it may be that he legitimately does own the rights to the music or it is copyright free and someone has sham filed a claim. In which case he will have to follow the YouTube procedure.
For smaller creators, this can be a problem because in fighting the claim you have to give your full name and address to some generic person who has claimed your video. But Tom of course can just file using his attorneys address. Still, a hassle and of course hitting him in the wallet, LMAO.
