He's grateful to be with someone who will put up with him!! Nothing about how much he loves her (he doesn't I'm sure!) And why should someone have to put up with him?!

To be honest when she went live with him there wasn’t much going on behind the eyes , and all that incessant giggling like a school girl . I think she’d put up with anything just to have a man . I fact she’s proven she’d put up with anything to have a man !
She always looks half asleep or stoned!

Well I wouldn't call it romance! It's the current situation but it's more like a business kind of thing!!
Until he realises that she's no good for business, because people won't warm to someone who condones the bullying & humiliating of other women, and puts her own selfish needs before her children.
Then he'll drop her like a limp stick of celery.
Let's not forget what loves young dream was saying about her a few months ago.

But yeah... It's very sad for the boy. He does seem like a lovely kid, but he's gonna grow up with lots of issues under John's influence.
