It’s not messy. It’s very clear cut. I’m not wounded, I just find it hard to swallow that she is thought of as the pinnacle of instamums. It’s fine though, she’s very good at manipulation like I said
 

Before that, cookie got screwed over by pukka who offered her a platform then heavily edited her writing to fit the narrative of the middle class blue collar flex appeal

I too have had lengthy DMs with her and she came across as concerned, open and genuine. Far more than any other instagrammer.

Ok, that’s brilliant. I thought these threads were a place to share criticisms. I’m disappointed to have experienced a different side to Pukka than everyone else has

I don’t see why you think it’s peculiar. Everyone else seems to have marvellous interactions with her & she’s been lovely to you all. I’m disappointed not to have received the same.

She’s definitely distanced herself recently from the usual ‘tribe’ - I think she fluffs things up regularly, but unlike others genuinely seems to want to make amends and learn from others. I guess sometimes the learning should come before the mistakes though, especially so publicly. It has to be tough to feel so attacked. I didn’t realise the discussion threads on here were to ‘share criticism’ I thought it was general discussion and debate?

Sorry I misunderstood. I saw other posters saying that if they wanted to praise the instagrammer then they ought to start a new thread. So I thought that’s how it worked

I think if threads are set up for the sole intention of bashing someone that’s surely just bullying? Discussion is one (good) thing, group attacks are quite another

Sorry I’ve been travelling for work.....also wasn’t quite in the frame of mind to start a “debate” with MP. Was shocked that within seconds of naming her she was on here- very bizarre and slightly annoying? I felt somewhat vilified for having an opinion about her McDonalds thing- which is why I NEVER comment on posts on Instagram, I don’t have time to argue with the followers, they think what they want until they start to see through it all.
Anyway, my opinion is that 3/4 years ago MP had a nice Instagram feed and then I dunno what happened! It became a business? It’s contrived? Now I’m sure plenty of people love it and that’s great, but I don’t - I’m sure if MP followed me she’d hate my insta so surely you can’t be upset that not everybody likes you? That’s another issue- the instamums only follow the instamums- to me that just means they are living in a bubble/an echo chamber? I get that they can’t follow everyone but maybe step out your tiny world and look at different perspectives. When I joined insta I followed all the insta mums and one by one I unfollows because there is a big world out there. I often follow the likes of CB who I don’t agree with but I love that she pushes me to think outside the box? But the likes of MP, CT, the Hayward’s of this world- OMG it’s just not a reality but it’s scary that they think they are?

I do like MP and I respect her and enjoy her content so much more since she moved away from the instMum bubble. Now she’s got a job and uses the gram for promo of flex and heart FM, it’s more ‘real’. She has kids, goes to work and is actually intelligent compared to the other instamums...
I can’t stand MOD/FOD and do not follow. I don’t mind CT - at times I think she overshares but hey, that’s her thing. For someone with 90k+ followers , she shows too much of the kids.

That CB line up was a joke. Can you imagine how dull that would actually be?! I think the only one I would have wanted to hear was MP...

What exactly happened with Camp Bestival? They all pulled out because they were all white but only realised this after it was all announced?

I did actually take the “just unfollow” advice and unfollowed MP as I also found her manipulative and contrived.

I would be really interested to read what Cookie said about her edited article, and how she was unhappy, can you link it please?
