There will not be any diversity when companies use PR companies that are white and middle class. Canp Beatival used Hustle and Fox. They have a couple of token POC on their books - style me Sunday (who thinks plus sizes is 18) and foul mouthed Candice Brathwaite. Yet you had NSSN (who runs hustle and fox) going on about how she is being educated on diversity but CB when a client asked them to talk about how Pappa B was victimised and told them not to ask them to justify it but the people doing it.

It is laughable. Allison Saddler is amazing and her feed and stories worth a follow. Also The Rebel Woman’s club feed that she runs.

Telford reckons she’s going to ‘address’ the lack of diversity in her set (or whatever you’d call it).

The point that Allison makes (and some others too) is that the same pattern happens again and again: brand launches something, gets called out for lack of diversity, brand "responds to feedback" and hopes everyone is happy. It has happened multiple times now. As instagram matures, it turns more and more towards the kind of business practices it used to rebel against; where people get successful because of who they know and what they look like, not what they can bring to the table. The Old Boys Network is alive and kicking on Instagram in a new hipster guise.

It is because advertising like journalism works on an aspirational method. So they always focus their brands to one step highter. So they look to work with people that jo public aspires to be. I mean who wouldn’t want to live in a house that is worth 3/4 of a mil, with fab holidays and everything free.

Completely agree. Such navel gazing with the whole ‘what am I trying to say?’ Twaddle that she frequently comes up with.

Fortunately for her she can re center herself with a kindly gifted holiday, hotel stay, Elemis face wash. Phew

Wasn’t too impressed with ED’s collection - it looks to be cheap throwaway bits that adoring fans will buy, be a little disappointed with the quality and throw out in a few months.

Just had a closer look at the ED range on QVC - storage baskets with Pom-poms - a copy of baskets that were around last year, and the Pom poms are only around one side of the baskets (a sure sign of cheapness and poor quality), bistro table and chairs that you can get anywhere, the love posters and mugs - a direct copy of the lettering hanging in her hall. A plant stand - a poor copy of a West Elm design. Cushions with a pattern that is pretty similar to the fabric on a chair in her sitting room. Fake plants. Not an ounce of originality. Oh dear!!

Its just another curated range, same as her other project with QVC, why the pomp and ceremony this time though?

You can get large faux plants in TKMAXX or Homesense for £29.99, the QVC one is £84!

Yes! That “how are you” that she does at the start of every story ? she’s so condescending! I stopped following because every week it was, oh I’m so lost here, I need to take a time out and recentre myself. Also I’ve heard that her and Alison Perry were awful to work for- total bullies, which then drives me insane because now out in the real world, they’re all “girl power” nonsense- wasn’t that when you were stabbing everyone in the back when you had a day job!
