I’ve only just become aware of James Nelson Joyce as a result ot this series. All I can say is would. Repeatedly.

After binge watching gangs of London that fell flat. Surprised Sean Bean was killed off so early. Not something I'd watch if there was a series two.

Binge watched the whole series over a few nights and was holding my breath during the final episode . I know Jamie and Michael are both baddies of the worst kind, but for some strange reason I found myself rooting for Michael 😳. BBC -series 2 please!!

Someone elsewhere said they’d never have Ronnie as their leader because he’s not from their city. Never thought of it that way before

That bloody song is on repeat in my head !!

I think the Paul Usher shout is a good one & also Mark Womack - we rewatched Liverpool 1 before Xmas & both would have been better cast as Ronnie. Sean Bean is just Sean Bean in every single role - for me he’s an awful actor.

I think they portrayed Diana as a very non typical Scouse gangsters wife to show that Michael was different to the usual scally type. Again think they could have chosen someone more authentic for the role -Jodie Comer would have been fab.

The actresses for the Rachel & Cheryl roles were a rogue choice & their accents were terrible. I’m sure there must have been genuine scouse actresses that would have done a much better job.

I enjoyed it, but agree 6 episodes faster paced would have been better. Michael getting Cheryl to take the baby was unexpected & a good twist.

If they could do a second series with better casting & Jamie taking a bullet to the head, I would defo watch !! 😂

James Nelson-Joyce is amazing in everything he played. When he done James Yates in little boy blue he got the scumbag spot on. I can’t see Jack McMullen as anyone other than Finn Sharkey 🤣 Boss series though, hope they bring out a series 2

Totally agree with the actresses who played Cheryl & Racheal. I don’t like Racheal at all in any programme she annoys me 😂and Cheryl maybe suited to comedy

I’ve just finished the last episode 2night and I really wish Michael had took Jamie right out, Jamie was a wee fool who thought he was the big I am

Might be an idea to put behind a spoiler for people watching on tv? Only saying as on tv it’s only shown 2 episodes 😊

Agreed. But the thought of Sean Bean murdering a Scouse accent :ROFLMAO: they'd have had to get someone else. Patriot Games, I rest my case.

"Errr, yeah it's fine Sean, don't worry about the accent, Sheffield is fine pal, you just crack on".

I have watched all episodes and really enjoyed it,people are calling it Scouse sopranos but I would call it Scouse gomorrah,Jamie is like Gennaro Savastano who listens to much to his idiot friends,I can also see similarities between Julie Graham's character Elaine and lady imma from gomorrah.

Omg. Me too. I loved it.
Normally can’t stand a scouse accent but this was pure class.
Slightly Gomorra’esque.
