That bloody song is on repeat in my head !!

I think the Paul Usher shout is a good one & also Mark Womack - we rewatched Liverpool 1 before Xmas & both would have been better cast as Ronnie. Sean Bean is just Sean Bean in every single role - for me he’s an awful actor.

I think they portrayed Diana as a very non typical Scouse gangsters wife to show that Michael was different to the usual scally type. Again think they could have chosen someone more authentic for the role -Jodie Comer would have been fab.

The actresses for the Rachel & Cheryl roles were a rogue choice & their accents were terrible. I’m sure there must have been genuine scouse actresses that would have done a much better job.

I enjoyed it, but agree 6 episodes faster paced would have been better. Michael getting Cheryl to take the baby was unexpected & a good twist.

If they could do a second series with better casting & Jamie taking a bullet to the head, I would defo watch !! 😂

Watched it and as a non-tv watcher, found it absolutely gripping. I’m not from Liverpool but I live here, and had no issue with the accents.

Mike Noble as Banksy. I’d ride him like a racehorse again and again and again. Amazing.
Ditto Kevin Harvey as Bobby Duffy.
Banksy reminds me of Lewis Capaldi

Someone elsewhere said they’d never have Ronnie as their leader because he’s not from their city. Never thought of it that way before
Agreed. But the thought of Sean Bean murdering a Scouse accent :ROFLMAO: they'd have had to get someone else. Patriot Games, I rest my case.

"Errr, yeah it's fine Sean, don't worry about the accent, Sheffield is fine pal, you just crack on".

Just watched all eight episodes. It was very watchable and I did like some parts but in loads of parts it did seem a little unrealistic and they got the casting horrifically wrong. Sean‘s character would’ve been better off played by a proper Scouser someone like Paul Usher who played Barry Grant in brookside would’ve been better off playing that part.
The women should’ve been all Scouse because they’re accents were terrible
Good call, You can never get enough Paul Usher!

Thought it was a bit boring and slow going, but WOW loved the last episode. Certainly didn't see the ending coming :ROFLMAO:

I enjoyed it but think it was maybe two episodes too long and wholly agree with the mumbling🙈

Very enjoyable, but the poor accents are a bit distracting especially Diana, and she mumbles, like she can't open her mouth properly but aside from that it's OK

I’ve watched the first two episodes. I think it’s quite slow and not fast paced Enough some of the actors and actresses do not suit the part and things aren’t really done like that in Liverpool as they have displayed on the show. Don’t get me started on the accent. They are absolutely everywhere.

I’ve just started The Shooting of Jean Charles De Menezes on Disney+ and JNJ is in this too. Only spotted him in the background so not sure how big a part it is.

I tried A Thousand Blows but it didn’t grab my attention, I may return to it in the future.

Every time this thread pops up I just think of 'House of bambooooooooo'
i just finished binge watching the whole thing and same 🤣

i’m an outlier on this thread though in that i was kind of rooting for jamie 🤦🏼‍♀️ michael is FIT AF and a more compellling character but he lost me the minute he rammed the car and pulled the gun knowing melissa and the baby were inside (and then tried to take the higher ground). i guess it’s interesting in terms of their moral code though, especially when banksy was so outraged about what the amigos did too.

i thought diana was miscast too. i get she was deliberately styled and everything to look different from the others but her character made no sense to me. again michael is FIT AF but i truly didn’t get why she would stay with him.

Banksy reminds me of Lewis Capaldi
omg yes 🤣🤣 (he was great but also slightly miscast i thought, the actor has such a gentle aura/sweet face that i couldn’t take it seriously when he was in the background of scenes in his little polo shirt and sad eyes)

I feel like there was a lot of mumbling in general. One of Michael’s lines, I had to rewind so many times to understand what he was saying

Just finished last episode. I think Michael
Is attractive because he loves Diana so much and shows it in every way.. I think I love him 😂
I loved the group dance scene where he smiles at Diana! In fact I love the group dance scene so much I’ve rewound it to watch over. Apparently the director used it to show the bonded ‘family’ and it’s expected to feature in loads of real-life weddings/events from now on, especially Scouse ones! The House of Bamboo is definitely going to make the charts. I really enjoyed the whole series and as non-scouse, the accents didn’t annoy me but I can imagine why they would for not being authentic.
