Stating they're Vegan but not actually properly knowing what it is

Playing an acoustic guitar

Only smoking roll ups

Putting a flower in their hair when at a festival

Only drinking £4.00+ micro-brewery beer

Reeling off 20 bands or artists you've never heard which all turn out to feature their friends and haven't actually recorded anything yet

OMG there are about three of those bars opened up a year or so ago near me, pre covid and they are old shipping containers, the people that drink there are definitely hipster types haha, I quite like them but they are so expensive because its mainly craft beers

Slags off the daily mail but frequently quotes daily mail articles refering to it as 'daily fail' by way of defence.

Boasts about buying food at farmers markets/waitrose

Will let you know that carlsberg and fosters are piss and that they only drink craft beer.

Wouldn't dream of buying lunch from pret or coffee from any of the large corporate chain coffee shops.

Drug taking and getting wasted is cool but don't light up a fag near me

Lectures on pollution/climate/environment but its okay for trucks/vans to pollute the air we breathe so they get their online shopping.

Superiority complex because they do yoga/pilates/ jogging/cycling/ clean eating

Self-righteous comments on companies' social media accounts to complain about them not paying taxes or something. Most of these accounts are run by interns, it won't reach the people who could actually do something about it.

Uses mineral deodorant, Kingfisher toothpaste, and thinks that makeup is poisonous

Having loads of tattoos in quick succession, all the tattoos have the same theme.

Or having tiny tattoos that are thin lines .

Either driving an old car from the 70s/80s/90s or a brand new Audi/bmw/merc. ( there is no in between with hipsters).

The stereotypical hipster stuff like beards, man buns , moustaches , craft beer etc

It's much nicer than lager.


Also remember the video of the bloke riding a penny farthing then the dpd van knocked him over? He was pure hipster.

I've got a bicycle with a basket on the front, and I can assure you I'm no hipster. More like an old fogie who just happened to purchase a second hand bike, with the basket already attatched.
