It’s not only Facebook, my YT has been recommending some rather weird stuff lately and also for weeks on end. At some point it was extremely small channels doing some makeup stuff, with less than 50 subscribers and always videos that were up less than an hour.
This week I’m supposed to be interested in visuals of childbirth and fertility. While not uninteresting, I’m child free by choice. Why should I be interested in that content specifically?
Oh and there was a month of very AI-looking pictures that always were for voideos “can’t believe this is just lentils and spices” and an absolutely fake looking thing of flesh-coloured plasticine role.

YT seems have gone weird on me, as well. Not showing anything I usually watch but a lot of crappy "drama" channels and stuff about video games? I wonder if they've put some crappy new AI on the algorithm or something.

Same for me, I watch quite a lot of stuff on YouTube and recently I'm being recommended stuff that's nothing like any of my usual interests. The huge long ads are driving me insane now too
I've got to say youtube lite at £7.99 per month for no ads has been my best treat to myself recently. Of course everyone now uses my log in on the TV so my algorithm is shot.
